Can't believe this has happened 7 years ago. This is the best artificial sax sound I heard so far. Playing sax myself I know what I want to hear, and amazingly, everything is there!
The tones I use are not from the EWI5000. I use Vsts installed on my notebook, and I also use sounds from my "Ketron SD1" Keyboard via Midi. In this song I'm using: audiomodeling.com/solo-woodwinds/swam-saxophones/ (Tenor Sax). Hope this helps.

The sounds are VSTs (Virtual Instruments) that are in the Notebook. The EWI accesses these sounds via USB cable or "Midi Wireless" (Pada MidiBeam). Hug.
I am a EWI4000S player and thought for a while that I'd found the ideal instrument for me in the 5000, but after reading about the hassle with the Lithium Ion batteries I have decided to look at another type. So disappointed.
