If you don't feel like you're either being raptured to Heaven or Flying out from the Galaxy while taking it all in behind you by the peak of this, I don’t know what's wrong with you.
oliver lieb has delivered so many great and very inspiring pieces of music that meant so much to me. you could hear his use of analog gear throughout his whole producing period with very own unique sounds far from standard, droney, sharp, deep, layered .. i have deepest respect for keeping it so real all the time and being himself without chasing the fashionable. when techno and trance became so defined and kind of lost, the great superstar era he kind of stopped or pulled himself away. he's probably still around in his lab but there is nothing to be inspired about other than lots of people doing the same thing. i feel like he pulled the plug himself .. but understand there are so many fans like myself that really really appreciate and feel your work mister lieb .. it left a print in my heart forever!
I am totally on board with you! If I had to destroy all of my records and hang onto one or two it very well might be my LSG - The Black Series and then I also have a single record of 2.0. Like you said so well, the mixture of sounds and moods is so well composed to bridge the gap between techno and hard trance. It's really under-rated work but also it's kinda nice that it didn't get overly popular and watered down by being overplayed as well. Sorta like boobs. You dont want girls going topless all the time because then boobs wouldn't be nearly as special.
The most neighbour bothering piece of sonic brilliance I think I’ve ever heard, Oliver you knocked it out of the park here! So many layers sublimely and stealthily combined, still sounds fresh all these years later...

Timeless, still blows my mind!
