This whole conversation kind of reminds me of that moment when EEAAO won best picture and the camera cut to Spielberg who just looks happy that a great film from young passionate filmmakers (that are most likely inspired by him) are getting such great praise
LOVE this. George is a great moderator. Once saw him interview Edgar Wright live on stage at the Aus premiere of Baby Driver and it was a film nerds dream.
This is kinda crazy. Like, George Miller is one of those directors that your favorite director appreciates. Apichatpong Weerasethakul, Coen Brothers, Bong Joon Ho, Tarantino, Del Toro and many more greatly admire him. And then you have the RackaRacka guys who don’t even seem like they’ve ever read a book. In every interview i’ve seen of them they’re so full of energy. They did an interview with IGN where they were acting like children. It’s refreshing to see, honestly.
Love the youthful but still respectful energy these guys are showing to a legend of cinema. Call them TH-camrs at your peril, they obviously know their stuff, are not afraid to work hard and have proven they have what it takes. Congrats, best horror film I have seen una long time. Proud to be an Aussie…
I'm glad George Miller brought up John Ford at the end of this interview. You can definitely tell he paid homage to John Ford's groundbreaking film, Stagecoach (1939) with Mad Max: Fury Road. The two films make a great double feature, featuring some of the greatest action-chase scenes of their eras.
oh my god, getting praise for my movie from one of my biggest idols would literally kill me. literally my wildest dream. wtf. insane to see rackaracka paired up with a cinema legend. chapeau!
George would cut while shooting, and only get a few second of an action. Most actors are used to doing longer takes, and that led to instances where they were not fully trusting him that it would all come together.
these guys are such a total talent, talk to me, is such a blowout great movie in every way with the writing the acting the camera work so affective it was beautiful. I had such a great time. George Miller is a total legend too. I'm so happy this exist, but these guys are so exciting, I mean I am so excited for anything they got planned or what they wanna do they are amazing and I was so emotionally captivated in this film in a way that was quite surprising and I'm really happy to see these guys getting the praise that they saw deserve and I hope more people go see it. I think this movie was a total great time, and I think these guys pretty much nail it every time there is never a dull moment.
I usually wouldn't describe directors interviewing directors as adorable but this is adorable.
Incredible combo!!! I love the clear enthusiasm! Talk to Me is AMAZINGGG and I love rewatching it
Thanks for pairing up these Aussie icons! It’s great to hear how excited George is by Talk To Me, can’t wait to catch it this weekend
So cool to see a legend and excited up and comers have a conversation!
Old and new Australian film industry geniuses

Yep; Then you watch their debut, and it's clear that they know when to show restraint for sure.
what a great interview😃 love seeing Duel appreciation!

This movie is incredible, and it's inspiring to see someone so iconic talk about it
5 seconds in and this is already giving me life
The mutual respect across generations is just beautiful.
The Master himself. Fury Road is a rare proof that it's indeed possible to revive an old franchise. Can't wait for Furiosa.
I didn't know I needed this, but I needed this. Amazing.

Miller is a true artists’ artist, so it brings me a lot of joy and no surprise that he pay homage to the great American master
the mice saying "pork is a nice, sweet meat" is one of my best memories of Babe lol

Thank you for this, I really enjoyed it. Please keep up the hard work!
Amazing interview pairing, so much respect on both sides and a love of great storytelling
This is one of the best interviews I've ever seen
GOAT and potential future GOATS Gabbin about films, this should have been 3 hours long.
THIS IS AMAZING! 🙌
The interview was so pleasant. Followed her on Twitter for reasons!
This is the Australian version of Martin Scorsese talking to Ari Aster
This was amazing thank you!!
What an awesome interview
Thank you
What a special interview
George Miller is indeed The Goat.
This must be particularly special to all involved seeing as they all come from the Australian film world.
This was great.
OMG!! One of the best horror movies ever!!!
40 minutes well spent 😊
