- Filmed at the Northridge California location. This store is Phase Three and houses a 2 stage.
A tour of this nice store I shot when I was back in the LA area a month ago. This store is a goldmine for fans today although it wouldn’t be as special back in CEC’s heyday. This unremodeled location still has showroom walls, many Phase Three artifacts still hanging, record posters, booth seating, and even still have the small lounge where the Beagles once played when this store first opened. So much history behind this store.
Northridge was supposed to have remodeled to 2.0 by the end of last year but like always CEC decided to postpone it (not complaining for this scenario lol, I just got lucky) and the exact remodel date is unknown. Only time will tell how much time left we have with this store. I traveled all the way from Las Vegas to see this stage, so you have no excuse not to visit it if you’re in the area. You won’t regret it. I promise.

A true gem
What a gem! I’m glad this store has as much documentation as it does. I’ve seen videos of this store from the 80s, and it was certainly unique, even in its hay day! I’m sad to hear that this store is getting 2.0 soon, but this store will always be the definitive phase 2 CEC

Even franchised locations have to get 2.0. I personally believe that Northridge has a much higher chance of closing than getting 2.0, due to its strange and unique layout.
Makes sence so more phase 3 locations will probably be safe and they will have a more chance of closing i bet diamond bar will close soon cause of it being so unnoticed and this location will close of the same problem of Silver Spring MD and la mesa will be defintly safe of how big and weird the layout is how are they gonna handle the play place

So this is the location that was closest to my house growing up I was here almost weekly in the 80s. First they had the king when they had Harmony Howlette then when Harmony Howlette was replaced by Madame Oink they got Dolly Dimples when Helen Henny came around and they got The Beagles and later The Beagles became the Beech Bowser's then when they remodeled in 1992 or something that's when they took the lounge acts out

God hearing the birthday song made me feel a bit nostalgic. Reminds me of having my 4th birthday party there, and I loved it. Kinda got teary-eyed, but this is a pretty unique location

This store won’t remodel since 2.0 is now apparently discontinued so our stages and locations are here to stay!

For now. If they survive this bankruptcy (fingers crossed) I hope whatever idea they come up with next isn't ad bad as 2.0 was for us fans 😨
Yeah I’d like a COL with bot and Phase 5 which would be much better and I know no remodel would be best because it’s what we grew up with but we all know they are going to have to update locations at some point in the future. And locations with Studio C can just put their bot on the stage so they wouldn’t even have to afford a bot!
@@chattychucke5535 Yeah.Ik Matt Daniel and other corp. People dislike 3-stages. So I'm guessing we can expect to see more "studio 3" stages like Darien has.
3 Stages are one of my favorite stages, and if my local 3 Stage (Madison, TN) continues to keep their stage in near perfect condition, then they should be safe for now.
this store has a interesting layout. I would love to visit Northridge but I'm in the east coast. Anyways, I love the video!

just by word of mouth theres no list but all stores are ment to be remodled by 2020/2021

Late Phase 2-1994 Remodel (Seen In 1994 Irving Store Tapes)
Phase 3-1999 Remodel (Vernon Hills Store Tour)
Phase 4-200? (Avenger)
Phase 5-2013 (Rockstar)
But then again there is no correct way to use phases because they were rarely used by the company. So it's kinda up to the fans.
Yeah in my opinion it goes like this
Phase 1 : 1977 to 1987
Phase 2 : 1987 - 1993 (shown in training videos)
Phase 3 : 1993 - 1998
(Seen in stores like Northridge, Springfield OH and Akron)
Phase 3 1/2 : 1999 - 2005
(Seen in stores such as Lynwood, CA, Jonesboro, GA, etc)
Phase 4 : 2003 - 2017 (Last store was Billings, MT in 2017) (Most Common Phase)
Phase 5 : 2013 - 2019 (Last store was Kapolei) (Seen in stores such as Grapevine, TX, Rockwall, TX, etc)
2.0 - 2017 - Present

Diamond Bar has unfortunately closed permanently and Northridge hasn’t opened their gameroom back up yet to my knowledge.
