A bunch of legends all in one place...can this not get any more awesome? I love how Jim is visibly tickled by Les's impression of him, Roy Walker's joke of getting batteries (toys not included), and Bob Holness...well, no more needs to be said about how awesome Bob is.
Jim Bowen, Roy Walker, Bob Holness, Les Dennis AND Marti Caine all on the same show - what a treat! I can remember when all of them were huge on TV, shame not much is seen of them these days. And such a shame Marti died from cancer, I met her around this time, she dined at my parents restaurant in Sheffield. She was so warm and down to earth.
In 1988, three of the four game show hosts seen here were on Central-produced shows (Bob Holness, Les Dennis, and obviously Jim Bowen). The other one, Roy Walker, was on a TVS-produced show (which would later be produced by Meridian and even later by Carlton).
RIP Jim Bowen, Marti Caine, Jockey, Wilson, Eric Bristow and Bob Holness. Les Dennis who made Super Smashing Great is like how Mike Yarwood impersonated Max Bygraves by saying I want to tell you a story who denied saying anything of the sort
What a show...we have Catchphrase's Roy Walker, Blockbusters Bob Holness, Family Fortunes' Les Dennis....and the cherry on top of the Christmas cake, Jim Bowen himself - all on the same show! I do wish Challenge would repeat this edition of Bullseye, especially over Christmas time... I have never, ever seen this episode and it would be great if it was broadcast again.
All these 3 dart players got to the semi final of the world darts championship the year after this and in fact met each other. Bob Anderson was knocked out by Jockey Wilson who then beat Eric Bristow to win the world championship
This Christmas edition was transmitted on ITV at 2.15 pm just before the Queen's Christmas Message. After The Queen you could have seen Blind Date, The Empire Strikes Back, Coronation Street, It'll Be Alright on the Night, London's Burning and one more Audience with Dame Edna Everage. I have to say that Marti Caine would have made a great regular sidekick to Jim Bowen as she had the perfect skill to have done that, although I am not saying that Tony Green doen't have that kind of thing.
When you told me that, it reminds me, there was this user called UKTVbox. He was uploading all the episodes from series 3 and 4 until his account got taken down by Fremantle media.
Daniel Williamson It was fantastic. All legends. Very strange to see Roy and Bob on another game show although Bob did appear on Celebrity Catchphrase hosted by Roy.
That was the funniest bit of the show (if you're a cynic) Which country can lose a war against tactically inferior forces, get HK to negotiate the country's embarrassment away and they award him a share of a Nobel prize in the name of Qudos.
I have put a post on Challenge's facebook page saying but this epic episode if they plan to show it. They do have Series 8 but never shown this episode , please back it and fingers crossed comes on this christmas :)
@Visonu I don't plan to upload these episodes as i collect them for my own viewing. Also it will damage Challenge's ratings and then if it goes to pot the ratings that is. We will lose Bullseye completely off our screens and i'd rather see more 80s eps!
Nothing to do with rose tinted glasses. Modern BBC/ITV shows ARE mostly junk. Voting contests, comedies that have to pander to left-wing views and reality garbage. (even panel shows on the BBC are not allowed to have all male lineup in case it offends someone)
What a treat this is? I was born in 93. So way after this was on tv. And I came across this tonight. 2 of my favourite TV hosts as the guests too. Xx

Jim Bowen Roy waker bob hotness les Dennis
thanks for putting this up. it's super smashing great
It was always worth waiting 365 days for Bully to fly around the Christmas pud.
Good crossover. The BGSU (British Gameshow Universe).
What a sexy audience all the way from Chernobyl!
It's worth it to see their little faces light up.
You wouldn't think that Roy Walker was only 48 in this clip.
every single person in that episode are legends

Marti Caine was Central too. Being host of New Faces 86 to 88

Would that have been the premiere of Empire on terrestrial?
I think I watched this in 1988! Marti Caine seems to be very over the top!
One thing to say - Super Smashing Great!!!!
Back when celebrities were educated and intelligent
Did you see Bob on Catchphrase? He was brilliant.
When you told me that, it reminds me, there was this user called UKTVbox. He was uploading all the episodes from series 3 and 4 until his account got taken down by Fremantle media.
damn youd think freemantle would just be happy people are still enjoying it

This Christmas Special Was Not Shown On Challenge!
I don’t remember ever seeing this either.

I think the family fortunes studio is next door to the Bullseye studio
I have put a post on Challenge's facebook page saying but this epic episode if they plan to show it. They do have Series 8 but never shown this episode , please back it and fingers crossed comes on this christmas :)

@Visonu I don't plan to upload these episodes as i collect them for my own viewing. Also it will damage Challenge's ratings and then if it goes to pot the ratings that is. We will lose Bullseye completely off our screens and i'd rather see more 80s eps!
At 16.00 its BULLSEYE!! 200 POUNDS!!
Les’ impression is so bad it’s good.
Bob's wrong on aphrodisiac, he said sic

@Springamatul RIP Bob who I remember in Blockbusters.
The woman was Marti Caine. Sadly, like Jocky Wilson and Bob Holness, she is no longer with us.
Yep. All gone in the same plane crash.
And now Eric Bristow
Also Jim Bowen is no longer with us.

Bless Marti, but she was a distraction in this.
Where's Tony green?
@ukgoldfan I captured all S10-14 of Bullseye 1990-5 that Challenge have , be good if Challenge got more Bully
What garbage will they show on Christmas day this year in 2012. Lots of people would still watch working class programmes such as this, A shame.
Mate this show was crap as were 90% of the shows in the 80s... I think you need to take those tinted glasses off...
