I had to keep all these emotions bottled up because no one else could understand that the achiever they once knew is just barely passing her subjects in law school. My Father is a frustrated Law student and was proud to know that I would finish it in his place. My mother always sees me in our garden and in my room and is always impressed to see me reading my books and cases. My younger brother and sister look up to my “studious” personality which they would tell their friends everytime they would get together for inuman sessions in our house or somewhere else. I always try to put a strong and happy face to ensure them that I can make it through this hellpit called law school and be admitted to the legal profession. Yet everyday once I start my readings and attend my online classes I feel more pressure from the thought that if I fail, I also fail them. Everyday I feel that I need a break. And at the end of the day what they dont see is me sniffeling under my blanket with the thought of just quitting.
Unfortunately, I quit law after my third year; and I studied with less subjects that year level. All because of very bad views of the justice system, you know Sereno ousted without due process, justice is for the rich and powerful, no death penalty by human experimentation for the Ampatuans, Nuezca's evil daughter Elisha is not punished and no inhumane acts were done to his corpse (you know desecrate it rather than bury it), the more qualified leaders are always the less winnable (you know the likes of Doc Willie, Carl Balita, Guillermo Eleazar). Shifted to MBA in 2019, the year I quit. Now running a business and also already planning to go to med school after finishing my MBA in 2022.
Hi. Im a 2nd yr law student at 40+. I'm starting to doubt my decision to study law because the load of reading assignments & the standard of recitation in my new school seem to be overwhelming for me as working student. Thank you for the reminder that I'm still privileged to be able study law school.
Hopefully this second sem in January 2024, to start law studies on 25% scholarship due to my Latin honors in college💜 Will still be working full-time, alongside my law studies🏅
I was contemplating quitting law school na talaga kahit first year pa lang and midterms pa lng ng first sem... .. kasi sobrang pagod, walang tulog, and just recently, I'm experiencing dizziness, and vertigo due to lack of sleep balancing work, law school, and family life. Came across your video. I actually planning to quit law school because I failed 2 subjects last sem. I have 1 subject to retake, pending back subjects and worse, got debarred. Idk what to do. Tbh, law school is hard. Despite being strong, in the end, you'll become weak. I guess, Im not good enough in law school. Despite all, life must go on. Will fight and try again. Una, kung kaya ko ba pagsabayin ang pagtratrabaho at pag aaral. Pangalawa, iniisip komg napakahina ng utak ko para dun at pangatlo, kung kaya ba ng ipon ko. Alam kong pangarap na pangarap kong maging abugado pero hindi mawala mawala sa isip ko ang idoubt ang sarili ko dahil ilang beses na akong nakaranas na minaliit at nasabihan na hindi talaga ako magaling at purely luck lang ang mga achievements ko pero this video really motivates me. Sa dami ng comments na nabasa ko rito, I think what's not being talked about often enough is the fact that law school was trash in some universities during the advent of online classes. Ang dami naming batchmates na regular 4th yr students today na nagkokopyahan lang during the pandemic samantalang kaming mga nag aaral mabuti during those online semesters kami ang bumagsak kasi almost humanly impossible yung tests during online classes. Ngayong face to face na ulit. My goodness, yung mga regular students na classmate ko sa mga review subjects ko mga sabaw naman. Yung ibang instructors pa ang unusual ng grading nila nung online. Tapos inconsistent pa na may mga nagbibigay ng 2nd chance after Finals pero sa mga subjects na bumagsak ako wala namang remedial exam. Suwertihan. It's just such a waste of time to have to spend an additional year dahil bumagsak ka during online classes. Parang ewan lang. The sad reality kasi is very few people are talking about this kasi medyo recent occurrence lang 'yung temporary implementation ng online classes. If you took up law school years before the online implementation then most likely you cannot relate and simply infer na baka kulang lang sa pagbabasa yung student or malas lang. However, the situation is actually much more complicated nowadays. Nakaka-demoralize pa na parang hindi raw kami one of the "exceptional" students of our batch porket hindi kami regular students eh most of the regulars are cheaters and leakage dependent. Prestigious school pa kami from Baguio. Yaks. Sorry (kind of) for the negative remarks pero hindi rin kasi biro 'yung pagiging delayed when you know you tried hard.

Here. Thank you for this video sir. My situation may be different from yours but the difficulty I face is of similar intensity . I am studying in a provincial law school and since 1st year my faith has constantly been challenged. While I am dealing with the pressures and guilt that often accompany a full time student, I have also been dealing with the semestral struggle of choosing my faith over lawschool . Being from a provincial school, classes usually fall on the Seventh-day Sabbath and this has caused friction between batchmates whenever i try to make arrangements to observe the Sabbath while pursuing law school. This has taken a toll on my mental health as well as physical health. Every enrollement period I am faced with the same issue and dealing with it has grown difficult. This may be my last week in law school as Iconsider quitting. Pls help pray.

For the past three semesters in law school i have constantly doubted myself, cried my eyes out while i study bearing the question "will i still be able to pass this semester?", choosing to stay at home when everyone else is out there because i fear that people may expect a lot from me knowing that i am in law school. I had to keep all these emotions bottled up because no one else could understand that the achiever they once knew is just barely passing her subjects in law school. For the entirety of this video i was just crying i never knew i needed to hear this, thank you so much, Atty! At tama po kayo, ang dami pong binago ng Diyos sa buhay ko. Kahit madapa man po ako, palagi Nya po akong tinutulungang bumangon muli. Maraming salamat po!

My Father is a frustrated Law student and was proud to know that I would finish it in his place. My mother always sees me in our garden and in my room and is always impressed to see me reading my books and cases. My younger brother and sister look up to my “studious” personality which they would tell their friends everytime they would get together for inuman sessions in our house or somewhere else. I always try to put a strong and happy face to ensure them that I can make it through this hellpit called law school and be admitted to the legal profession. Yet everyday once I start my readings and attend my online classes I feel more pressure from the thought that if I fail, I also fail them. Everyday I feel that I need a break. And at the end of the day what they dont see is me sniffeling under my blanket with the thought of just quitting.
Unfortunately, I quit law after my third year; and I studied with less subjects that year level. All because of very bad views of the justice system, you know Sereno ousted without due process, justice is for the rich and powerful, no death penalty by human experimentation for the Ampatuans, Nuezca's evil daughter Elisha is not punished and no inhumane acts were done to his corpse (you know desecrate it rather than bury it), the more qualified leaders are always the less winnable (you know the likes of Doc Willie, Carl Balita, Guillermo Eleazar). Shifted to MBA in 2019, the year I quit. Now running a business and also already planning to go to med school after finishing my MBA in 2022.

Came across your video. I actually planning to quit law school because I failed 2 subjects last sem. I have 1 subject to retake, pending back subjects and worse, got debarred. Idk what to do. Tbh, law school is hard. Despite being strong, in the end, you'll become weak. I guess, Im not good enough in law school.
Despite all, life must go on. Will fight and try again.
P.S. to those who are reading this comment right now, please continue to fight for your dream. I am a living proof that despite all failures in law, I managed to get up and try again. Ang daming tumatakbo sa isip ko. Una, kung kaya ko ba pagsabayin ang pagtratrabaho at pag aaral. Pangalawa, iniisip komg napakahina ng utak ko para dun at pangatlo, kung kaya ba ng ipon ko.
Alam kong pangarap na pangarap kong maging abugado pero hindi mawala mawala sa isip ko ang idoubt ang sarili ko dahil ilang beses na akong nakaranas na minaliit at nasabihan na hindi talaga ako magaling at purely luck lang ang mga achievements ko pero this video really motivates me. God bless po.

Sa dami ng comments na nabasa ko rito, I think what's not being talked about often enough is the fact that law school was trash in some universities during the advent of online classes.
Ang dami naming batchmates na regular 4th yr students today na nagkokopyahan lang during the pandemic samantalang kaming mga nag aaral mabuti during those online semesters kami ang bumagsak kasi almost humanly impossible yung tests during online classes.
Ngayong face to face na ulit. My goodness, yung mga regular students na classmate ko sa mga review subjects ko mga sabaw naman. Yung ibang instructors pa ang unusual ng grading nila nung online. Tapos inconsistent pa na may mga nagbibigay ng 2nd chance after Finals pero sa mga subjects na bumagsak ako wala namang remedial exam. Suwertihan.
It's just such a waste of time to have to spend an additional year dahil bumagsak ka during online classes. Parang ewan lang. The sad reality kasi is very few people are talking about this kasi medyo recent occurrence lang 'yung temporary implementation ng online classes. If you took up law school years before the online implementation then most likely you cannot relate and simply infer na baka kulang lang sa pagbabasa yung student or malas lang. However, the situation is actually much more complicated nowadays.
Nakaka-demoralize pa na parang hindi raw kami one of the "exceptional" students of our batch porket hindi kami regular students eh most of the regulars are cheaters and leakage dependent.
Prestigious school pa kami from Baguio. Yaks.
Sorry (kind of) for the negative remarks pero hindi rin kasi biro 'yung pagiging delayed when you know you tried hard.

Hi Atty! I've been listening to your channel since before I enrolled law school. Tbh, I'm on the verge of giving up po. As much as possible ayaw ko po sana maging nega pero hindi po matanggal sa isip ko kung kakayanin pa po ba ng katawan ko. It's really difficult to balance school and work lalo na kung isa kang court stenographer. I honestly don't know how to manage my time due to time constraint.

hello po atty! hindi po ako law student (actually med student po ako hahahaha) and napadpad lang po ako dito during my study break. sobrang timely po ng video na 'to lalo na't may times na rin po na gusto kong sumuko, pero nung narinig ko po na sinabi nyo na dati po dinadasal ko lang po ito, ngayon i'm in now- natauhan po ako dun 😭

Here. Thank you for this video sir. My situation may be different from yours but the difficulty I face is of similar intensity . I am studying in a provincial law school and since 1st year my faith has constantly been challenged. While I am dealing with the pressures and guilt that often accompany a full time student, I have also been dealing with the semestral struggle of choosing my faith over lawschool . Being from a provincial school, classes usually fall on the Seventh-day Sabbath and this has caused friction between batchmates whenever i try to make arrangements to observe the Sabbath while pursuing law school. This has taken a toll on my mental health as well as physical health. Every enrollement period I am faced with the same issue and dealing with it has grown difficult. This may be my last week in law school as Iconsider quitting. Pls help pray.
