Spent a small bit of time with this beautiful human being long ago. I was his chauffeur and drove him to a show one weekend... so incredibly humble and kind. The real deal. Before departing, I asked if he minded if I got a photo of him next to my limo (before smartphones) and he insisted that I be in it next to him and went out of his way and found someone to come out and take the pictures for me...I cherish the memory and pics. I hope he's doing well today! ❤

He sounds so amazing like this. And those are 3 great songs from a great record. His voice has aged like wine. G.O.A.T.

John Hiatt is so underrated. And don't come back to me on that. Most people don't even know his name, and he's one of our greatest songwriters. he's written so much great music, but I think Shredding The Document is my favorite.

I got to meet him after a show in 1990 and he was the best, he offered a seat on his bus for a few minutes conversation, thanked us for coming to his show and signed our tickets. Great memories of how I think a real musician should act like.

The confluence of your words and musical poetry have sparked the flirtations leading to many nights of passion. For this, my wife and I can never thank you enough. You continue to pour the paintings of your experiences into all of our lives. You Mr. Hiatt are a legend.

      Wow Brian,
I second every word you've written, well said!
I've been trying to persuade Vector Management to bring him back down here, the first and last time he came to New Zealand was in 1991 supporting Robert Cray - me and my gang got 8 seats in the fourth row, what an entertainer, had us in the palms of his hands which made a lot of people think Robert Cray's performance was an anti-climax after John's.
It wasn't of course, it's just that Robert's shy and John's not, ha ha!

I'm thankful for seeing John with Lyle Lovett a few years ago all acoustic performance. John's warmth and humor and Lyle's) and musicianship gave me one of the the best concerts I've seen going back to the 70s. Pure talent.

    Just wonderful
I’ve been diving deep into this album and the one with Jerry Douglas and learning his songs shows me how fantastic his musicality is ….his songs tell such beautiful stories even the saddest songs
Loving rediscovering his songs again…first found him in the 90s but this recent album has really inspired me
Thank you Mr Hiatt it’s much appreciated

Thanks for uploading this! I was a fan of John's from the first time I heard his song played on a local commercial radio station in 1988 or 89'. They played Slow Turning. & I was heavily hooked after I bought his 1995 album Walk On, which is still one of my all-time favorite albums, from ANY artist :-)

Just getting back into John's music after a long hiatus. I followed him in the 1970s and 1980s but kind of lost track after the Stolen Moments album. He's aged (haven't we all?), but nice to see that he his still out there putting out great material. One of the true masters.

The Master Of Disaster Is the last Hiatt album i liked after that one the ones that followed all seem to sound the same also i am the biggest Beatles freak in the world yet i cant stand anything Paul MacCartney did after 2001 and i love Ian anderson Jethro Tull my all time favorite yeat after the album TULL.COM i cant seem to stand anything Ian does ? ? Whats wrong with me? Maybe because i write song's too "over "One Thousand songs" since 1980 i am only into my own stuff Hmm how ego minded i am i guess ?
