3:02 I see you dug around for a little while. A tip for buried treasure: in the chunk, it is always located at 9 ~ 9. In F3, beside the Block coords (right below XYZ) it says in brackets your coords within the chunk. I always align myself on top of the X on the map, then check the chunk coords and walk until the first and third numbers are 9, then dig down. Sometimes the X is sorta between two chunks so you have to try again, but it really only takes like ten seconds to find the chest like this, and buried treasure is actually really good to find when you're first starting because there's often food, a sword, and some diamonds. I usually spend my first few days pirating and end up with a full set of tools. Great video Joel, I love your content!

Minecraft Kind of broke village spawns in 1.18, because with the new caves in 1.18 if a villager spawns on a big enough cave (in terms of height) then part of the village as a chance of spawning in the caves. and in this case most of it spawned in the cave i guess.
That first “village” 😂. Looked more like this one villager adventured out into the wilderness and found a perfect spot, secluded and beautiful, then built a lovely little house nestled in the rolling hills to live out his days in… only for Joel to come and steal all his food and murder his only friend and means of transport, the horse.
seems like a somewhat balanced alternative to me that just broadens the game a bit. you can spend as much time mining/getting xp and probably get stuff as fast or faster than you could grinding out trades if you wanted, so it's really just a matter of what you'd rather spend time doing (which is the ideal scenario.. having multiple options that are all somewhat reliable for diff player styles).
I have a challenge! Using borders and pistons you can combine two blocks ( put two slabs, stairs, etc together and push them using pistons against the world border. ) you should use a house by only combining blocks!

Fire protection & Projecttile Protection may getting more useful Cuz it makes you take damage slower From any burning damage or Range Damage

I’ve come to think Villager Trading is a really broken mechanic.
