Watch this step-by-step demonstration to see how you can measure a pressure transducer using NI LabVIEW software and a USB data acquisition (DAQ) device.
The torque task type is available in NI-DAQmx 9.1 or later. If you upgrade your driver that should take care of the problem.
@short10102 Yes. As long as the transducer falls within the operating specs of the DAQ device then it will work with any transducer. To find more information on what DAQ device would work with your specific transducer, check out ni dot com slash DAQ.
I think this tutorial would never be better, thanks alot.
I want to make a data acquisition system and I sought so much in this matter but I never found out a good way. Now, you show me how can I make that. Thanks a lot,
That is a good suggestion for a future video. We will add it to our list of things to potentially do.
The pressure measurement task type is installed with the NI-DAQmx driver along with many other measurement types. You can try it out for free by downloading the LabVIEW evaluation and the DAQmx driver at ni.com/downloads/.
What is the name of transducer used for NI 9219 ?
What is the model and make of the pressure transducer that you are using?
Its actually in the new version of LV. Which version are you using?
Thank you very much. Can you tell us, what type of NIC Serie C Module that you use? at @04:03
How did you get the "Pressure" tab in the acquire signals tab? Is that a feature that can be downloaded from somewhere or did you make it yourself and add it to the DAQ assistant?
@ydnajg This video uses a pressure transducer.
Question. I have Labview 8.2 and under the Analog input I do not have the torque option under the drop down menu. Is this something that we can update to the other available types of measurements.
We recommend asking an engineer in our forums about this: (forums dot ni dot com). Be sure to link the video when asking your question, and they'll be able to help you out. Good luck!
Is that pressure transducer available online?
Hi! It looks to be a Honeywell FP2000. NI does not resell this sensor currently, but you can find it online. We’d recommend you confirm if the specifications for the sensor would with your application. Here is another resource for you to consider about pressure transducers: bit.ly/3JsTaQ6
@@NIApps do you have a wiring diagram on the connections between the wire and the transducer itself? I would like to know for my experiment.

I am using pressure transmitter PR3860 and I am using NI 9207 to read this thermocouple, Ni max is reading this transmitter as a current signal, that is okay but in Lab view while adding channel to DAQ, selecting the pressure bridge option, its not reading the device, and its saying no channel found, but in lab view if we select it as current source it reads the device. what should i do

What is the DAQ used for 4-20mA output
Any library to use the numeric indicator?
Hello sir I need your kind help regarding measuring pressure using pressure transducer Honeywell TJE-1000psig. There is one thing which is not clear to me please correct me if i am wrong. At 1:46 time the signal input range is of pressure transducer range. At 2:01 the we need to input the calibration values from the certificate .
Sir i got the following table please tell me what i should put in this table .
Calibration procedure : 072- FP75-23, Rev A, Dated 09/24/2010.
% capacity Load(psig) Raw(mV/V) Normalized (mV/V)
0 0.00 -0.0045 0.0000
50 500.00 1.4929 1.4974
100 1000.00 2.9941 2.9986
50 500.00 1.4927 1.4972
0 0.00 -0.0039 0.0006
What i should put first value and second value for electrical and first value and second value for physical.
please help me
Very Helpful!
could anyone please tell us why did he choosed the value of 0.15 , 0.14 for each electrical step?
yeah even i am confused. he said it's from calibration sheet of the sensor but when pressure is applied the voltage should increase but here the voltage is decreasing
veyry helpful! thank you
Hi. Are other modules like NI 9215 also designed to handle pressure readings?
The NI 9215 is an analog input module so if your signal comes in as a +/- 10 V signal from your pressure sensor, then the NI 9215 should be able to read it. However, you would need to do a voltage to pressure conversion in the software. I assume that the documentation for the sensor might have this.
thank you
what module is that?
+Nikil Rayani think its a NI 9237 given the high excitation voltage he input
