not sure if your going to have a roof rack but if you are then there is a video on youtube that shows a sealed 4" pipe on a roofrack,it has a filling cap on 1 end and a hose connector on the other end.once its filled the sun heats water inside and you just connect a shower head for a hot/warm shower.
@@JodieandJoe hi guys, just watching all your videos from the beginning :)when i made that post this was the first video id seen so didnt know your roof was all solar panels :( but ive got to say yours are the best convertion videos ive seen and very informative.keep um coming
Hey dude, great channel. Some great tips... I've just started my conversation..scratching my head to what electrics etc I need any info would be massively appreciated
Sure I'd recommend running as much as you can from DC power eg lights, fans, usbs, using a "house battery" which is a separate battery from the vans starter battery. Ideally Lithium and not lead acid, id go with a single 12v 100-200ah for a simple set up. Then get a small inverter 1000-2000w for AC house power for your smaller household appliances.
That was good presure in the tap/shower
Yep water pressure has been great for us
Good job
That was epic! Really starting to take shape.
Keep motivated, both doing a great job.
It crosses my mind that the more holes in the body shell...the more opportunity for water entering the Van
It's true, we've been using Sikaflex to fill any cut holes
I've had to rip stuff out, so many times. Flexibility is the key.
all van builders have slow days ive had many but keep doing more

We originally planned on a solar shower so maybe in summer we'll install one! Thanks

Thank you so much!!
Thinking about filling the cold water tank...most places will just have a cold water tap...no pressurised system...so u will be filling Containers
In that case we'll have to bring our 25l water container to fill up and pour into our system
Most people carry a hosepipe that connects to site tap (carry a variety of hose end fittings) and drops into the van's inlet.
Just a heads up guys them jubilee clips on your water pipes I would replace them for better Quality ones as them ones you have got do leak.
Thanks for the warning!

👍
loving the build. what system are you using to heat the water?
We have no hot water for now 😬
0:41 she sounds exacty like my wife :))
Your wife and I will be friends - Jodie 😍
You need to have an isolator switch, if you connect to site mains it will blow you investors
We have an isolated double pole RCD between the mains hook up and the inverter, it should be in our Victron video 👍
