    FSD is learning fast. This gave public confidence on full autonomous driving in the near future. Elon should be proud. Flushing is big Chinatown, and traffic has always been a deterrence for me to drive down there. With Tesla FSD, people would go anywhere without a concern of traffic.

    Nice drive with a lot of maneuvering around parked cars. Good speed-ups, commentary and clean video straight to the point. Nice assertive drive, matching city pace almost exactly.
    Streets, buildings and whole vibe seem like a small Eastern European or Asian city. A lot different from what I see on the other movies from around the US.
    Oh, and the sight of double-parked cars reminds me of Russian activists StopXam videos - showing people who fight against this behavior.

  • @Dave_Outside
    @Dave_Outside 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    It’s very good but still makes some mistakes and you definitely have to keep a close eye on it. Most common error I have is being in the wrong lane. For example the lane the car is in turns into a turn only lane, and of course the car doesn’t know that frequently until it’s too late to move over due to traffic. Or it waits too long to move into the turn lane in heavy traffic and then has to either squeeze in between two cars or frequently has to brake kinda hard to get behind a car to be able to make the turn. Also it frequently accelerates to hard for conditions and then brakes too hard, making the ride a little unpleasant for passengers. But overall it’s a vast improvement over the previous version.

    I'm halfway through the Tesla 30-day free trial and it's absolutely no way I will ever pay for FSD I drove 250 miles on the interstate and it worked ok except for the one time when it pulled over in front of an 18-wheeler within 10 ft but in the city no waits too long to break almost always goes beyond regenerative braking excessive acceleration sometimes will ride the center line on a two-lane road wants to make a left hand turn on a road where there is no road Google maps on my phone does not do that sometimes it will follow the car in front of it way too close in my subdivision the speed limit is 25 the car will go from 20 to 35 mph and cannot keep a consistent speed you want to yell at the car and tell it to just relax and drive

    I'm actually not surprised it did well here. FSD does best when there is excellent traffic control and good visibility. Even with lots of pedestrian and double parked cars.
    12.3.6 almost put me in an accident in a blind unprotected turn. In my suburb there are large hedges that obstructe views. FSD started to pull out but then saw the oncoming car and completely froze. I grabbed the wheel and slammed the pedal to get moving. It was close
    The fatal flaw is that the cameras need to be on the A pillar, not the B. It just can see. This should be discussed more

  • @kleefton
    @kleefton 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    I don;'t know how you guys say Fsd is so great. I'm in NYC as well and the thing needs interventions all the time. The most common mistakes are navigation errors, where it takes the wrong exit pretty often. I've yet to see that replicated in any FSC video. Maybe it's something wrong with my car? 2021 Model 3 LR
    Oh...and it's supposed to be able to avoid potholes but it never does, always crashing full speed in the worst potholes of NYC. I have learned to only use it on smooth roads or highways.

  • @MrGiggity890
    @MrGiggity890 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    My biggest issues with FSD right now are related to navigation and just not making lane changes when it’s pretty obvious that it needs to or can/should. Also it loves to sit at 10-12 mph over the speed limit.
    Otherwise it’s a big improvement for smoothness and left turns in traffic.

    This is one of the few videos that I have seen that is close to driving in Seoul, Korea. I really want to see it on some very narrow roads that should be one way but are not, with no sidewalks so people are walking in the streets.

      I seriously doubt that Tesla will finalise their FSD in the near future. Sure, these drives are great but it doesn’t prove consistency and it would be a great threat to Tesla to release a software that will be responsible for a lot of accidents that Tesla would have to take responsibility for. So I think it’s still gonna take a loooong time until Tesla really trusts its own system.

      I live in Cincinnati and I haven’t had 1 drive where I didn’t have to take control. Fsd may work great for some but the user experience isn’t in their favor. Fsd isn’t ready or even close to being ready to be driverless.

      @@OurBengalsWaymo got approved for like 2 cities and and like 1 neighborhoods within those cities. Oh and it’s only allowed during certain times.

      @MisDirected2014 that's my point though. Waymo is garbage and still got approved. Teslas FSD will have no problem being approved in many cities when they have the data to prove its safe to do so.

    So far this is the best FSD video I've seen and I've been watching all of them. To think that this is still version 12.3 is insane. There are at least 3 more versions in the works 12.6 was just mentioned and that may be less than 6 months away.
