I like that Systema has a great focus on physics, body movement, balance and so on...
    It makes great sense.

You explain this very well, but this footwork was learned from Tai Chi (which is much older and therefore the original). The 90% / 10% weight ratio, the heel and toe stepping, everything. Systema is not an original russian art, it's a copy of Tai Chi but with the mysticism taken out, which is good.👍

Is this similar to evasion triangle footwork in other martial arts (i.e. Panantukan)?

Dominick, are you Dutch? I can't tell. Your accent is so hard to figure out. And now I'm just curious.

This kind of footwork and body movement is called 'Pendulum' (Маятник) by Russians.

Horrible footwork, horrible balance. The fact that both of your feet are close together goes against what EVERY respectable martial art teaches you. It's LITERALLY the worst position to have your feet in, other than crossed. Sorry. You guys seem like likable, genuine guys but this is a joke.

Obviously a comment from someone who has little or no experience and lacks self confidence.
