- Ghosts of Tabor is Escape from Tarkov but in VR. On Saturday, CWS added a Tarkov-Like matchmaking system to Tabor purely to test it out. I had a lot of fun with the new system, as everyone spawns at the SAME time, and the raid will not commence until the lobby is full. Queue times can be slightly longer, but it makes for much better raids in my opinion. What do you guys think? And should they implement this permanently?

I do believe this change will be for the best, but i should clarify in order for this to work well, some spawns *may* need to be reworked. In my opinion, Missile Silo and Underground Matka are going to work perfectly with this new queue system, but there might exist some slight spawn issues with maps like Island or Matka (spawns being too close together). While I don't think they would be a big issue by any means, maybe a slight rework of some of the spawns would be beneficial, or we just need larger maps (which is coming with the eventual expansion of Matka and Island) BUT, this change is great in my opinion. I hate sometimes joining raids 10 minutes late when all the loot is GOONNEE.. it SUCKS! This is what the game needs :)

Idk cause ppl like me who don’t have hours a day to play will just be rushed ever raid by sweats all the time I think the old way works good late or not that’s just life sometimes I quite playing Pc and tarkov and dayz because this game I thought it was fine the way it was

If there were random spawns this would be cool otherwise it’s gonna make higher level players have an advantage everytime. I dont want to constantly lose to someone who’s been on for 8+ hours

Correct. I feel bad for having to take advantage of it, because I'm forced to make it unfair in order to survive the first 30 seconds. I'd rather have a dynamic start of the game instead of being forced to cheese a spawn kill to gain advantage.
@@evolicious exactly, not a slight to the ppl that play long hours because i like watching high level players on twitch and TH-cam, but Ive been able to have fun by sneaking around or having sporadic firefights in different areas of the map. I love the idea of listening to gunshots or footsteps coming from a particular direction and engaging or avoiding depending on my situation. But this update will only be good for content creators and ppl with better tech to get as many player kills as possible.

This update seems pretty good until you bring a purple key card in and you get spawn really close to another one and you immediately get sniped

yeah i agree, a game that pits you against other players within the first 30 seconds of joining a match is just weird idk how anyone can find that any fun, just go play tdm at that point
literally the same thing could happen before but worse lol the old spawn way staggering players in meant you could hit prison and go to exfil border, and run into someone who spawns in late with an easy kill. having people spawn in spots you've already cleared was also ridiculous.

In matka, the spawns are close to eachother. I’m afraid that players will start throwing grenades to the spawns like crazy, like in counter strike. I think the whole idea is not knowing where the other player is, no? There should be a 15second scattering in time, when people spawn in my opinion.

I’m glad they did this, def need to implement it. I usually spawn late into a raid and am lucky to find people. Saturday was the most fun I’ve had in a long time.
The guy in first Matka with Ronin, def wasn’t even aiming at you.

quick tip for the rich people in tabor with heavy kits if you walk sideways while out of energy you will move at full speed :)

Does the legend reveal how he doesn’t get bored of the same thing over and over. Personally tabor is too repetitive but I still love it
I only play for content at the moment so I don’t burn out. Rarely ever play off stream or recording
I’m not who your comment was meant for but me personally I like to think I’m John wick or someone fun while doing my raids to immerse my self and I literally lose track of time each play session cause of the fun I have.

If it's too repetitive, it means you haven't explored other ways of playing the game. Exfil looter shooters are prized on how dynamic of a game you can play. If run around and loot the entire time and just so happen to run into player, you are not playing the game as intended. Use your imagination for once, find ways to gain advantages, be a rat, setup traps and ambushes, try to comm with players and manipulate them, force teams into fighting each other first, try using loadouts that make it a challenge. There are so many different ways to play this game, you have to treat it like an RP sandbox to continue interest.

Something I think could work, is a pvp small mode, like for example a Pavlov type of game mode but in tabor, but you wouldn’t lose thing, you could practice with weapons and and get xp?

3:28 yeah I agree this kinda feels like old tabor I mean the only way you’d get this kind of PVP anymore is in silo where everyone is compressed into one area
I would personally recommend not using a silencer if it costs more then your armor it minimizes how much money you lose per death

yeah it was awesome. id like feedback from those in Europe or other regions tho because i imagine its a bit longer to queue for them.. but i say implement the feature for sure
for some reason my hand posing isnt working, like when i hit my grip button it wont close my 3 fingers, even though i can still pick up stuff. im on quest 2 pcvr link cable idk whats going on. my trigger discipline doesnt work either
I noticed that you tried grabbing your grenade from the vest but you accidentally grabbed the backpack. I think the easy fix here is to make it so that you grab grenades with T and pull the pin with G. In other words, treat it like a magazine.
I like the idea of this, though I'm concerned that (like Tarkov), the raid timers will be significantly longer on average. Waiting for games in 2D is ok because you can pull up TH-cam, or eat whatever, but waiting for things in VR is different, you just stand there, for minutes on end.
We'll have to see how well the change is implemented but hopefully it'll do the game justice.
The queue times were really short on average for me, but also if there was a longer queue system, you could organize your bunker, water your crops, or all sorts of stuff while in vr. i think it’d be a better way honestly, since in Tarkov, you just sit staring at the loading screen, unable to look at tasks, traders and all that

You probably already know, but… Footsteps you heard in silo were probably by skull spawn. Probably, heard you and hid in that back hall by narrows, exfil.

Id like to mention that when thus matchmaking testing was happening i crashed to the point where i lost a purple and a full asval AP kit.
The only player that goes into island without food and water, is gonna either be a food looter, or a dead player, lol.

I was in a duo with the guy wearing the ronin. We killed collector that raid and the very next.

this is the best for content creators who want to stack clips with guarenteed one sided pvp and no one else lol. basically if your not set on spawn killing the other guy as soon as you get in, youll get spawn killed.
All for it depending on how long the wait is, if the game starts say a minute after loading into a game this is great, if you could be stuck waiting for 4 or 5 minutes I wont play the game again if this gets permanently implemented.
it varies but often you are in by about the 2 minute mark. sometimes a little longer, but you can fight to the death in the pre game with all the other players, which makes it far from boring to wait a few minutes
The only thing about this is there might be spawn campers constantly

I want to play this game but when I try I get extremely motion sick does anybody have any tips to stop that
Try playing seated, drink water, take breaks, make sure your headstrap isnt on too tight putting pressure on your head, etc. I never had motion sickness luckily so I don't know exactly how to fix it, but those are some tips i've got from others over the months. it takes time to overcome

The deagle is insane. 2 shot kill with fmj and crazy penetration for a really low price
The deagle one taps with ap ammo, but only to the chest or head. Still good
Maybe if you searched the backpacks you will find more purples

I think if the player count is going to get upped and each raid will be more challenging there should be some kind of rework to balance it out, like more loot etc. Because obviously you are going to die a LOT more if every raid is full.
I feel like the max to find a raid is 10, because 12 can maybe give airdrops easier

Hmm weird, as long as your matchmaking time was less than 5 minutes, it should have put u in a full one. Maybe you just missed the players, or was it dead silent the whole time? Some people also go into raid, check loot spawns, and.. kill them selves 😂 That could also be it
@@TimelessVRyt yea most of them were pretty quiet! I will say that most of them, there was people who always spawned very close to me, but after that initial burst of action it was like 10 mins of quiet haha
Having all spawns at the same time is something that should be standard in all extraction shooters! However, tabor is a pretty small mapped game. Even island and both matka maps have way too close spawns. Maybe changing the spawn areas would be fine, but more and better changes are in order for this to work in vr
Agreed, i think the spawns on island are pretty solid. Matka is a lot closer, but when i look back at Factory in Tarkov, i remember dying literally 3 seconds into raid all the time 😂 So i guess maybe it’s just part of the extraction shooter experience, but i see where you’re coming from

Maybe if that just add more spawn points so you really don't know what one someone would spawn at.. maps are not that big but only thing I can think of to stop spawn rushing .. Hurry up with the some trap items that would be funny setup one and wait for them to rush in ..

Yes arguably we definitely need more PVP in this game. Some raids are insanely boring because there are no players and all the loot is gone because the people who joined 10 minutes before you have already taken everything. Agreed that we need more events and bosses but this update is 100% needed. And I think if it releases, people will agree. Except for some people, who just love to complain about every little, intricate update 😂

I prefer the mechanics like this where everyone spawns at the same time. Just had my last 5 raids I spawned in I only had between 20-30 minutes left in raid and have guys loaded with loot running at me. I feel bad killing these dudes that are just trying to run to exfil and it spawns me in right in their way.
