- Back with the first gravel riding video of 2024. I'm getting ready for some really nice gravel cycling and bikepacking events this year and am working on my health as best as I can. In this video I tell you more about that.

@@MaartenOverweg I was training just to stay in good shape, then I got invited to go to a race had fun Im doing another race in Feb. also did a century last week on gravel. I am getting invited to do more events now and I am keeping it one a month or just regular training if nothing comes up. No better training then no purpose training but woking on yourself. cheers

Good on you mate 🙂 Comparing to you I'm not doing so well😉 Still enjoying alcohol, don't get enough sleep and spend to much time in front of a screen. My training and weightloss are going fairly good though and like you I have the intention of doing even better this year and hopefully get in a couple of gravel/bikepacking events. BTW you got me really tempted on the Tailfin now!!!!
Hi mate! I think you're doing really well and will beat me in any race 😅I'm very happy where I am at the moment though and intend to keep going 🥳 That Tailfin is a thing of beauty. I'll try to do a separate video about it. But if I were you I wouldn't watch that, because you might end up buying one 😂

Hi Maarten, good luck on your goals....myself no specials this year...in my humble opinion gravelevents are getting a bit to expensive (on the other hand..what's not getting to expensive!?) 😕..the tailfinn is the way to go, looking forward on your experience with it....ciao 👊🏻.
Thanks Roger! Yeah, especially day events are getting expensive. I wish they would have an option to not include the after finish drinks and hamburger, so you could choose to just ride and at a more attractive rate. There are still cheap events from local cycling clubs fortunately, so I just pick a couple expensive ones that I think are worth the money and then do locally organised small events. That Tailfin wasn't cheap either 😅

@@MaartenOverweg Totally agree - you should be happy. You’ve made some great charges that are getting good results. I’ll give my Dutch DS a Saturday off tomorrow, LOL. Hopefully picking up my new (to me) TT bike.

Dank je wel!!! Zou heel leuk zijn om elkaar te ontmoeten bij een event of in de omgeving van Eindhoven. Als je nog mooie gravel routes hebt in de omgeving, dan hou ik me aanbevolen 🥳
Die routes heb ik zeker. Elke zondag gravelen we bv met de club (TC Woensel, je weet wel, de Strabrechtse Heidetocht....). Morgen naar Bakel, om 09:00 uur vanaf Cyklist, centrum Eindhoven, gpx beschikbaar. Je bent van harte welkom, maar misschien is het wat kort dag. Anders een andere dag! We houden contact 👍
@@wimvanunen9337 Dat lijkt me hartstikke leuk, maar morgen inderdaad al andere verplichtingen. Mijn dochter rijdt een paardrijwedstrijdje. Ik meld me heel graag een vrije zondag.
