@@danreyes2604 Hard to give a short answer, but the general idea is that reverse flow provides slightly more even temps in the food chamber. Often used on smaller offsets (backyard size). Not seen on bigger offsets.
A smoker of that quality must cost the same as a small house in Europe. I'm sure seeing one of those on the continent is a bit of a rarity. I also assume there aren't thousands of old propane tanks laying around to base them off of, either. That's why they were originally built the way in Texas and the US South, they were dirt cheap and easy to start with. Good luck, friend. Those look great.
Hi Hank, do you have recommendations for what type of material to build the Smoke Stack / Chimney out of? I'm trying to source that part right now, but having a trouble finding something suitable.
Steel or stainless steel. The challenge with regular steel is finding a pipe that’s large enough in diameter, yet has thin walls. That is way easier with stainless. Ask around and try visiting a steel shop and talk to them, that’s my best bet.
Hi Hank looking good. I can see you know about a natural draft. Questions please why not a exhaust cap at least to keep rain water out and reason for exhaust cut in angle at top for? You are definitely the man with a smoker plan...
Thanks Daniel! I figure the slanted smoke stack looks good 😄. That’s what I did on my first big smoker. Rain cap not needed, it drains itself via the always open fat drain.
Great work I love your work I have been watching your channel you are very talented keep it up thanks for sharing
Looks great Hank! I am a big fan of the reverse offset smoker
Thanks!
What is difference between reverse offset and regular?Thank you in advance.

Awesome video Hank and great smokers! Thanks for the content
Thank You 🙏!
Pretty nice smokers, and I'm a born and raised Texan, I've seen a lot of smokers, I really think the vertical ones are best but these are good.
Thanks Toby!
They are some sweet looking smokers! 👍
Thanks!!
Nice smokers. They look like badass cookers 🔥
Thank you 🙏

Love those smokers, great to see ur thought process evolve. Nice work as usual.
Nice craftsmanship.
Hey hank….how much do your offsets run…Damn, they’re super nice!!!
They cost 19700 SEK each. I've discontinued the reverse flow model, and just fabricate the 'normal' flow smoker. It's a solid cooker.

Tack!

Wooden handles against heat?
Yes, very comfortable.
@@HanksTrueBBQ you do realize wood and heat don’t go together right? After a few years those handles will come off
@@corrysmith6109 Well, duh.. Have you tested my smokers? Those handles don't even get luke warm. It's all good.
Ser riktigt bra ut, men svetsfogarna?
