Seeing Ogerpon in the finals really shows just how powerful and versatile they are. I wonder if Pecharunt will also end up in competitive teams because their fairly even base stat distribution can make a decent all-rounder, the poison/dark typing can have a great advantage when used well, and poison puppeteer means you get two status conditions for the price of one. But by the same token, It can't change it's typing like Ogerpon and even stats mean it needs to be used carefully lest it be let down.
This is Pokemon Scarlet and Violet on the Nintendo Switch. If you want different kind of a Pokemon game on mobile device try Pokemon GO, Pokemon Unite, Pokemon Masters EX.
Why Do These VGC Players Commit So Much To Repetitive Moves Like “ Fake-Out And Parting Shot “ .. Flavio Should’ve Read The Situation Better Like You KNOW The Opponent Has Armor Tail Farigaraf So Why’re You Not Paying Attention To The Obvious . Parting-Shoting The Ogerpon Was Dumb When You Should’ve Just Taken It Out To Start With . Offense Is Just As Important As Defense Too !!! 💯💯
You realize these are top players that know every option they and their opponent's have, right? If you're talking about game 2, knocking out the ogerpon wouldn't have mattered since scarf urishifu still would have outsped and knocked out the flutter mane. Also faking out the urshifu was the only option he had left so flutter mane could knock out the urishifu, and that was the only way he could have won that game. He knew that armor tail was a thing and that his opponent was going to switch to deny the fake out, but reading that and clicking an attack doesn't stop the urishifu from knocking out flutter mane and winning the game next turn. Saying you don't want players to use those moves is like saying you don't want soccer players to pass the ball. The real mistake he made was not bringing heatran to tank those grassy glides, but heatran did nothing last game so I don't blame him for trying something different.
@@briandiomede7354 You’re Not Understanding The Point Im Making , “ Parting-Shot/Fake Out “ Are Decent Strategy’s But You Can Only Go So Far Repetitively Using Them And The Fact Is When You’re Down Like He Was You Need Really Good Offense To Be Able Keep Yourself In The Game At The End Of The Day And Once Pokémon Start Getting Hit You’re Gonna Need To Hit Back TWICE AS HARD . Flavio Was Down Because He Wasn’t Putting Out Much Damage In Game 3 And Wasn’t Able To Recover Due To A Lack Of Offense THAT’S My Point ! Offense Is Just As Important As Defense Too . Power Still Holds A Significant Meaning In Battles Use It ! 🎯💯
@@melvondrewhite2674 there were only 2 games played, so I have no clue what game 3 you are talking about. But regardless, you're forgetting that the role of support pokemon is to support. You weaken the opponent's offensives with intimidate, fake out so your pokemon can get a free attack or set up, then parting shot to weaken the opponent so they hit like a baby before switching. It's why in game two the farigaraf had to switch out since it was useless with minus special attack in front of a ghost type. If he simply flare blitz the farigaraf he would have gotten hyper voiced with throat spray boosting the special attack and a psychic about to ruin someone's day. Hyper offensive teams that do lots of damage really quickly exist, but those team would have just lost to trick room so long as the supporting pokemon denied the offensive threats with fakeouts and lowering attacks. Flavio could have attacked in a risky position and maybe be in a better position, but it's unsafe and can be countered pretty easily, resulting in an instant loss. I'm sure he could have played better, but it's much more complicated than just simply saying he should have attacked more.
@@briandiomede7354 Ok Yes I Meant Game 2 But Regardless Support Pokémon Have To Be Able To Put Out Damage Too So Realistically Theres No Such Thing As A “ Support Pokémon “ Because The Key Is To Knock-Out The Opponents Mons Before They K-O Yours And By Being A Support Mon You’re Not Contributing To That Which Means You Aren’t Playing To Win And That’s NOT A Team Player💯 .. The Problem Is That Players Take “ As Support “ To An Absurdly High Level And That’s Why These VGC Players Lose So Much . Point Is Flavio Was NOT Putting Out Any Offense To Which Means He Wasn’t Fighting Back And His Opponent Was THAT Was The Difference & He Lost Because Of It .
Dang flavio got absolutely owned wasnt really even close at any point in either round
The commentators suck. He was talking about parting shot into the baxcaliber holding the clear amulet lol
