Classic track not just with Tramaine’s impacting voice but also superb musicianship. Thanks for sharing!

Beautiful song. Thank you for your love of GOD and HIS anointed and gifted singers. I'm older and slower. Signed up with Gospel Nostalgia a while back and have been on and off. Yet, The LORD is blessing and keeping you to share these beautiful songs.

This is one of my songs! The Hawkins Family have been musically ahead of their time, which is why their songs sound just as fresh all these decades later.

Wow used to have this on cassette and listened to it on a cassette player in my 78 Dodge Aspen K Car. What a blessing. One of the first songs I heard after I got saved at age 21. Jesus bless you for posting this gem. Keep this blessed stuff coming. People are listening. Ohio is loving this. Thanks so much. Brother Bob at preachbrotherbob blog.

This song has been on Repeat for the last couple days! It puts me in a place, can’t explain. But beautiful song. ❤️

My backslid wife used to play this on cassette. The whole album. That was in 1983. She's still out there. I, by the grace of God stayed in church. She never re-married. She's a lesbian. I never re-married either. Thank the Lord we never had kids.

I love Tramaine Hawkins, she's one of my favorite Gospel Singers. I'm forever grateful for the years of opportunity to be a member of Los Angeles Gospel Messengers, who has sang background for her on many occasions. To name a few of those amazing occasions Rev. James Cleveland's 50th Anniversary Celebration at the Dorothy Chandler Pavillion, in Los Angeles, October 29, 1990 we sang "Stand Still And Know" GMWA National Convention, Her own recording titled " The Joy That floods My Soul" What Shall I Do, written by: Quincy Fielding Jr, the same song was sang at Rev. James Cleveland's Homegoing Celebration 2/16/1991 in Los Angeles at the Shrine Auditorium, Rev. Cleveland maintained a very close relationship with the entire Hawkins family until he passed away. The relationship continued with the choirs as well as Rev. James Cleveland's daughter LaShone.

Walter Hawkins co wrote this song with the great Patrick Henderson. Awesome writing.

18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. (Romans 7:18-8:4)

It had an urban feel to it. A sign of the direction she was headed for.
