Yes a large number of MBBS doctors prepare for PG exam but still every year 50000 MBBS doctors do not find a seat in the PG programme. The main issue is the cost. Since BAMS doctors are available in the salary bracket of Rs 15000 - 40000 per month, the hospitals are keen to hire them. MBBS doctors would not come for anything less than Rs. 60,000 per month.
