They just scooped when they saw the writing on the wall and slotted in all their Dimensional Barriers and Board Breakers to out me the next round. 😅 In short you gotta be really uptight, immature, or just have life issues to storm out of a locals. Still waiting for the moment someone plays Runick Stun at locals and gets punched in the face though Lmao.

Moral of the story if the opponent isn't responding to the special summon combo expect a hand trap because the odds of the opponent bricking is as likely as an exodia deck being meta.

crazy how he coulda still won if he just took the damage and just used his field spell to bring back majestic shooting star and attack 5 times with it. The albaz player couldnt do anything after that as he was under calamity lock. These non pure synchron players arent true duelists. A true duelist does not give up until the last card is played and even then he wins cuz he learns from the experience
A funny nib "counter" i do is put a geo mathmech final sigma in the extra deck, they usually drop nib after using speeder eff and because the nib token is level 11 and jet synchron is level 1 that you can ss from grave or even revolution synchron, i just use them to synchro final sigma in extra monster zone and end on an unaffected tower lmao
There is no over committing in modern Yu-Gi-Oh. This is just what Yusei decks do, and the opponent just so happened to have an Albaz in hand and Alba Lenatus in the extra deck... That is just unlucky cause almost no Branded player even plays Lenatus. The only thing the Yusei player could have done is make crocodragon to pop the set Albaz.
That's why seal into kaoki meiru draco is important. Once they set a monster you bounce your own card and special summon him so they can fusion away your board.
The duels where people spend 10 minutes making an “unbreakable” board - then get dismantled like a toy car…just wind up scooping like a little b*tch. Take your loss like a man!

Stardust cards are honestly so cool, one of my favorite decks to play. Between the abilities, artwork, the feeling when ya do get the full combo off, definitely a cool deck.
The amount of stardust and red archfiend decks I dueled in the triangle event forced me to make a meme about it using the "how original" format. I just ended up calling the event cutscene simulator lmao

Not really. Halberd Cannon prevents a summon like Cosmic Blazar Dragon. Setting isn't a Summon. Also, the dragons got tributed by cost. So even with a Halberd, even if he can negate Lenatus, all the board was going to be wiped anyways.

This is yugioh powercreep. Without that that kind of board would be unbeatable. The multiple negate is not the worst part but the fact calamity prevent opponent to activate cards for one turn.
As as lover of the Synchro mechanic in Yu-Gi-Oh, I felt the pain from seeing all of those Synchro dragons being used to summon that Albaz Fusion monster O_O especially after seeing that unbelievable board while jamming to Clear Mind
Has Alba-Lenatus slowly had more usage recently after being sidelined since Dragon Link died or was that Stardust/Synchron player just really unlucky they ran into the rare Branded player that still plays it? (I know I do) Either way, they learnt that the Calamity lock doesn’t guarantee victory
I think it is just being very unlucky. I play a Yusei deck too but I opt for Crocodragon just for those rare occasions. Never trust a man that sets 1 monster.
I think is due the event. Most common fusion decks are Branded, Chimera, Tearlaments. And in Synchro side are Swordsoul, Synchron. The odds of finding each other are really high, but drawing the Albaz that is limited to 1 in event in opening hand is the lucky part.

And fusin is usually card disadvantage to trigger the summoning itself.

It's a contact fusion with no response time, that's why Albaz was Facedown, so Albaz couldn't get negated nor popped. It's so satisfying.
