Creating Ambient with Eurorack from a random YouTube Sample. Qu-bit Nautilus, Strymon Starlab

- Hi Everyone!
You only need a couple of (well selected) modules to create ambient with Eurorack. Really! In this piece i used a sample from a video on TH-cam about the Vector Synth by @StarskyCarr . In this video Starsky created a nice loop that inspired me. I hope Starsky is okay with me using a sample, if not let me know!
Anyway, i screwed some modules into my ALM case and created a soundscape within 15 minutes. Yes! thats right, 15 minutes only. To tell you the truth, with these modules you just can't go wrong. I can make ambient-atmospheres with almost any sound that i run trough this case.
modules used:
Morphagene by Make noise Music
Lubadh by Instruo
Pam's new workout by ALM
Nautilus by Qu-bit
Starlab by Strymon
3x Stereo mixer by Happy Nerding
Sono Abitus by Noise engineering
C4RBN by WMD
This video is raw and uncut, have fun.
Feel free to share, subscribe and what not :)

I love ambient and have always wanted to get into modular with a small setup, this is amazing.
That's a HUGE ambient machine. Amazing showcase of patch ideas.
No it’s not that big! You really think so!?
@@LittleAmbientMachine What I meant is that it sounds huge for such a small setup and it's amazing what you get out of it. Sorry for the confusion :)
@@CinematicLaboratory haha okay 😂😂😂 i see ! Well thanks 🙏🏼 for the compliment but to be honest with these modules you can’t go wrong…… 👀
Totally Awesome Video, I must have watched it a 100 times. The pad sound you created at 9.33mins sounds amazing. Great video from Starsky too as always.
Thank you so much. You can go wrong with these modules. Really they turn poop into gold hahahaha...
@@LittleAmbientMachine I just had to buy the morphagene lubadh and the nautilus modules. after your video. Great work... all the best Steve.
Opened up chat to post this same thing. It's incredible. I've been watching on repeat for a couple of days now.
Nice to have „the plan“ and to know how to bring it to a perfect end 👌
Just. Brilliant.
Great idea with this small but powerful ambience machine, lovely.
Huge WOWs. So compact setup with amazing results... Really great performance. THANK YOU!
Thank you for you kind words!!
Damn, would be so amazing if someone could build this similar thing in VCV rack!
Most modules can be found in VCV (reverbs, delays and so) but granular modules and loopers are not there yet unfortunately :)
@@LittleAmbientMachinethere’s a free module called nsynthi complex simpler, have you tried it and how does it compare? Would be really cool to have an effect processor like this
Как же это офигенно
beautiful
Love it! 🌀
Beautiful sounds. Very inspirational 😄👌
This is very very well done. 👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you :)
amazing performance.! absolutely love it!
Wow, at the ten min mark it gets really awesome!
Amazing and inspiring!
really love this. inspired me to get back into these modules. just need to buy the nautilis which is on my list anyway.
magical! 🥰
Really enjoyed this. Bravo.
Beautiful sound, and great video. thank you🙏
Beautiful!
I can't stop listening to this and wondering if this is the angle of eurorack that might finally hook me, instead of the industrial ebm bangers angle. So soothing, I love it
thanks so much for your kind words....
Love it Mike….really nice
this is genius
This is wonderful! Thanks for sharing mate 😎🙂
Great work and a lovely setup!
Thanks buddy
I've just bought a nautilus. Let's be honest - it's the lights!
yes it is 😍 the lights are great like with most of their modules
so meta
❤
Vette bak dude 🔥
Martin zakelijk ff laten weten voor de clean up he
Nice patch! What cable did u used for connect the phone?
🌌🤙🌌
Good demo! What case is this?
What would you say are the most essential modules in this setup or another way to ask would be if you had to eliminate something what could go away and still leave you with most of the sound and functionality? Second question is could this get a similar result if you used a live source or audio played from an external looper? Thanks
I think all you'd really need to do this is the lubadh and the delay and reverb, and maybe a filter. The repitching and slicing is important, but what he used the morphagene for, he could have just used the second lubadh channel for that. The nautilus and starlab both sound really good but potentially could have used fx aid or external fx. Pam's must clocked nautilus which was convenient but unnecessary, and I think if he just used lubadh, the mixing could have been achieved using the aux crossfaded section.
the sound at 10 minutes is what im looking for, which of these modules do you think helps more to get there?
star lab and nautilus
@@jadeone thanks!
I’m curious, when you listen to the dry Input signal from the Morphagene without anything playing into. Have found that even on the lowest gain stage level you get loud noise floor. Kind of sounds like white noise or someone sucking through a straw?
Are pams workout envelopes useful/usable?
Well done. Can you tell me, which cable did you use to connect the iPhone with the morphagene? Is it just a double mono cable of is it stereo? Thanks.
I Used the Apple Lightning to 3.5 mm Headphone Jack Adapter. The plug is stereo and it splits that into two mono signals. And then i used two Patchcables
@@LittleAmbientMachine Thankx. 👍
hi,what is this case?intellijel?and what size? i wan to know😮
What is that thing on your phone where the two patch cables go into your morphagene? The hexagon shaped device?
Is stereo mini jack going to two mono mini jacks. smonething like this:

@@LittleAmbientMachine thank you :)
