Boy, that spike doesn't know what he's messing with!!!! Love watching deer behavior like this. You can learn a lot from watching them when they think nobody is watching.
So interesting! Wonder what it is about that tree that the bucks all wanted to rub it? Is it time for their antlers to drop? If so, could it be like a loose tooth for us and we keep wiggling it until it comes out...maybe they rub to loosen their antlers?
Looks like you've been busy my friend. That's a busy place and you had some good vocals as well. Starting around 605, I started seeing three vertical lights, any idea what it was? Good luck, thanks for sharing your adventures with us. 🙏
Thank you. Enjoyed the video, as always. I'm wondering if your brown ash would be the same as what we'd call swamp ash, or black ash. Never heard of brown ash before. Thanks again.
I’ve been using them for over a year, they are small and compact and work well, $40 for hd video with audio in a camera i leave unsecured in the woods year round, yeah i can’t justify spending 3-4 times more than that for a fancy name brand
@@TheMaineWoods Good deal. I have been looking for a decent camera that would not break the bank. I think I will pick up a couple and see how they work out for me. Thanks for the info bud!
Cory, what's your opinion? Will a spike buck always be a spike or do you think it's just a young deer that will eventually branch out? Cool watching them scrape!
In some places the deer population isn’t managed well and the bucks don’t get a chance to grow old. The younger bucks mate and the natural selection of the strongest buck doesn’t always happen. So lower smaller deer get a chance to breed. The Maine woods have some really big deer with well managed forests and deer herd. Bad genetics can be a thing in other places
if the coyotes and the winter is good to him he'll grow up to be a big buck. not many deer in the big woods but they're hard to hunt/find without snow. Judging by the past two years of little snow in november he's got a good chance.
Well that just proved to me the old adage that a big buck will rub a small tree but a small buck will not rub a big tree is b.s. At 3:55 that is nowhere near a big buck and he is going right after it!! And then another smaller buck at 5:55. That broke off one sure is an aggressive little bugger.

Yes, it’s interesting and fun to watch, worth the effort of doing this
Thanks for sharing that! The secret lives of teenage bucks. The big boy struts by and does not even stop!
Teenagers…
Lol, love the young buck freakout moment!!
😂
Beautiful
👍
That’s bark news for sure! 😁🦌. 7:36 looks like Elliot from the movie open season 😂
Terrific footage as always Cory!!!! Hope you are doing well. Keep the great videos.coming!!!

It's a scent-marking object they use to check on each other. Sorta like when you see dogs pee in the same spot on a lawn.
Now that makes sense! How very interesting...
Enjoyed watching them, great quality camera and that one large buck must of sensed the infrared and darted off awesome video
He definitely did not like the smell of human scent
@@TheMaineWoods that’s why they grow old!
I started hanging my cameras higher this past year and noticed not so many of the deer seeing them or being spooked off from them.

I first see those lights at 5:43 almost immediately after that beautiful buck nosing the camera got spooked.

Nice bucks! Now Cory you need to get one of these!
I’m trying
@@TheMaineWoods Praying God will put that deer right in front of you

Precioso vídeo.

It’s all the same tree those are just other names for it
Hello Corey, @5:36 haha he's gone! Give the pup a butt scratch for me.
He did not like the camera lol
Outstanding footage! I also would like to know what camera you used.
Thanks, info is in the video description
Do you have a video where you share your go pro mounts and how you get your footage while stalking bucks?
What are your thoughts and feeling about the trail camera? How long have you used them and how are they holding up?

😂😂every one in this video is just a young deer

That unicorn buck was the most aggressive of the all. What model camera are you using?
He is aggressive, probably broke his own antler off lol, the camera info is in the description
What are the 3 vertical lights?
Aliens

Yes, the smaller bucks seem to be more aggressive on these lol
No,a spike grows good racks,.

Looks like he may have a string hanging off the tree that the reflectors are attached to.
I don’t know what those lights are, just something causing a reflection off the camera lens, could just be a drop of water on the lens itself
