But so far DC has been doing it right, referring the penguin series. Making a villain feel like a villain and not an antihero. If done right it can work
It can be done, but he can’t be like the one in the comic or animated versions. The Batman has a sense of realism to it. They should make him have a deformity from a freak accident where he can mold his face, and restructure his bones and joints. Like an extreme contortionist of sorts
Let's wait for the Batman movie or introduce him to James Gunn's plans. Let's wait to see how Superman turns out and then if all goes well then introduce him in the next Superman movie.
A Clayface…movie? Did they learn nothing from the Sony Spider-Man debacle?🙄 However☝🏽 Get David Cronenberg…Give him a small to medium budget… Get him to write & direct…& give him carte blanche to get some messed up freaky body horror sh*t goin’. A TheThing for the 21st century!
Since when did it become popular to make every villain sympathetic. What happened to the Hitlers and the Gangus Kans of the villain character world ? This is a general question by the way 😂
Not excited. I think a lot of fans don't care for the push of abstract DC characters getting solo movies. The DCU shouldn't be pushing Creature Commandos as their first DC content. It's not something the general audience gives a rat about. The DCU should start fresh with DC'S big three. Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman. Instead, we're getting Superman with a ton of abstract DC characters with him. Guy Gardener, Mr Terrific, Hawkgirl, etc. We're even getting a Supergirl film before any kind of Wonder Woman movie. And of the DCEU, Gunn wants to keep HIS abstract DC characters forward to the DCU with John Cena reprising his role as Peacemaker. I think we should be giving the general audience characters they are familiar with and already like. I know many won't understand why we suddenly have a new actor for Superman as they don't follow studio drama but are tired of constant reboots. I agree. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. The DCEU never had a legitimate chance with all the studio nonsense behind curtains. Just release the dang Ayer Cut. It's not hard. Just do it. Even though it's easy money and a no-brainer for the studio to do as the film is already done, Gunn won't do it cuz everything has to be about his universe. The Ayer Cut is the ultimate transition leading to Zack Snyder's Justice League. Not the theatrical cut. But we'll never know with Gunn at the helm. -OG
I disagree, people said the same thing about gotham, Harley quin show, penguin, and Joker. Additionally people didn't care for thor, ironman, nor did they care about cap. Additionally, it's an already established universe it makes sense that there are going to be other superheroes as well. Superheros crossover to other superheros all the time even when it still the predominant superheros story. Look at batman brave and the bold. Additionally the dcu is light canon. Which if you read comics happens all the time where we get soft reboots through multiple crossover events. The Snyderverse was never positively received by critics or fans. The reason why they will never release the Ayer cut is because they learned from the Snyder cut why they shouldn't appeal to toxic fan bases that aren't even that large. Additionally if everything is about his universe than what about the elseworlds projects. It's almost certain the dynamic duos project is probably elseworlds. My adventures with superman is still going on. The reeve verse is still going on. Additionally they are focusing on making good independent projects instead of a large overarching narrative due to the fact that we know from the mcu that normies don't want projects to be too overly connected that it's difficult to consume the next project without consuming all the previous projects. Additionally there's talks of blue Beatles coming back for a series guess that's gunns project too since he only cares about his universe eventhough he literally has nothing to do with the movie. Additionally within the dc trinity wonder woman was always the least popular and most difficult to write for. Additionally it makes more sense to follow a superman film with a supergirl film as they are more similar and share more in common than superman and wonder woman.
@vincentluong7550 I'm talking about normies. Not what has been done in comic books if you read them. You're another guy that's been manipulated by TH-cam & articles, etc. to believe the Snyderverse was not profitable. That's actually false. Go listen to the former heads of Warner Bros when Zack was there. They not only profited but they profited well. Some of these films already made their money back before the movie even came out due to advertising sales on merchandise, etc. Who's going to know better than the heads of the studio? A lot of the negativity came from a narrative pushed and critic reviews. Even though they profited, the studio was still stuck on trying to copy Marvel. It's never recovered since. -OG
And I think we get Batman when we get the bat family all in one and I think they’re waiting for the Batman two Then they’ll have the Batman family in the DCU.
This scares me. The reason marvels cinematic universe worked is because they built up the base characters first. We should be seeing a Superman movie, and a Batman movie, long before a clay face stand alone. If Gunn is playing it loosey goosey with cannon then it’s another story, but if he wants a semi cohesive narrative between films, he has to start from the base and work his way up
UPDATE: James Gunn confirmed movie is within his DCU and releasing September 2026!!
Clayface movie is in development. Cool! They got to have Batman in the movie as well.
So DC is Doing what Sony did with the spider characters (Enemies).
The difference is that it's under one studio and they have all rights to cross-over 😂
@@_sayandas True. And I bet this version set outside DC Universe because they never confirmed what universe is set Yet

But better
I’m happy that you making videos about DC again and I’m still hopeful that Zack is going to finish his story

Release the Ayer Cut
That would be siiiiiiiick
The only thing that we might get closer to comic book and the Matt Reeves verse is the court of owls

Umm Sony just doesn’t understand how to make a good movie without Spider-Man. James Gunn on the other hand does understand these characters

It's just edgelord crap. Matt reeves and James Gunn are just going through their emo phases.
@@NiRvAnA6890 I was not expecting this 🤣

Clayface is legitimately a sympathetic character though

Rest in Paradise G.I ROBOT and I'm hyped for CLAYFACE

I guess we are in the era of sympathizing with villains. It make since because villians run Hollywood
Thare is a female clayface but i doubt theyd go for her

Ping Pong Emoji.
Put a huge, otherworldly and shapeshifting clay face into the batman movies!
Why do comic book movies have to be realistic or not comic accurate?
The clayface movie is in the dcu.
The Batman and Supergirl are coming out in 2026 so I’ll be 2027
Do the costume work like the substance and we gotta hit
I’m over the elseworlds dc villain stories because it’s like having an appetizer without dinner (the hero)
