Nick, stop acting like Denver won't learn from their mistakes in the fourth , like leaving Reaves wide open. If he had missed both threes, Lakers would not get close to 3. If anything, getting that win helped the Nuggets confidence moving forward.
I love Nick on this show and he’s become hilarious but the entire playoffs he’s viewed the Lakers playoff series solely through their lense, which has made his takes on them incredibly one sided and Lakers heavy. He’s taken every Laker victory seriously and has argued why every Lakers loss is actually a GOOD sign going forward. We have to show some objectivity here.
@@pfpchad2747He's been 12 and 1 on his picks on Laker games though. This is literally the first game that he's gotten wrong, and if it wasn't for two circus shots by the nuggets, the Lakers would have won this one.
Denver is also a professional basketball team with a professional coaching staff. The Lakers arent gonna be the only team watching film and making adjustments.
Crazy They talk about the things that had to go right for Denver to win But they don’t talk about all the things that went right for the Lakers and them STILL losing -most pts in a game this playoffs by reeves -most pts in a game this playoffs by AD -4th most in a game this playoffs by LJ -one of Rui’s best games this playoffs -shot 12% better from 3 than they averaged -shot 9% better from free throws than they average And STILL lost Nuggets in 5 followed by media blaming Lebrons supporting cast, coach, and GM….but not Lebron
Denver still gets no respect after the National Media said the Suns with KD would beat them. And now on every talk show the Media feels good in the Lakers loss because they think the Lakers found something against Denver? 🤦🏾♂️ I pray 🙏🏾 Denver is listening😔
I do find it fascinating that they believe Nuggets couldn’t see the issue and won’t adjust …. 🤷♂️ Nick compared it to Iggy in 2015, difference there was that the Cavs had ONE player and this is the Nuggets with their line up intact, unless Nick is hoping Murray/KCP/MPJ get injured or perform very poorly?…..you know what they say, when your game plan is hoping your opponent performs poor, then that’s not a game plan, it’s a prayer.
Sorry Nick Wright but, nothing you're saying can justify the Lakers loss. They did everything, even had the refs call multiple back to back fouls within the last six minutes of the game, in order to cut down Denver's 17 point lead, into a 3 point lead. Lakers loss, deal with it
Which of those calls was not a foul? Jokic grabbing AD arm on rebound? Did you see the replay? Was it when porter fouled Lebron on the break? Or when kcp reached on Reaves in the corner? That one didn’t show replay from correct angle but I’m sure you have access to more views. Whining about refs after a win? Lol I’ll get ready for the crying after a loss.
Ain’t no way you watched that game and think the lakers did everything lol Darvin played 3 guards for 3 quarters and made them lose the rebound battle. I’ll be back Thursday because you nuggets fans really think that was the lakers best possible game
You mf are such losers blaming the refs because your team can’t defend 2 dudes whose game is attack the rim especially when you don’t have rim protection. Don’t be like warriors fans I wanna assume y’all better than this
Why are y’all acting like it’s not a 7 game series? If you apply context and watched the games lakers fan should feel good moving forward. Not that hard to understand if know ball not just a lakers/nick wright hater.
This was just a regular game for Denver. They can absolutely keep up this pace. We have tons of high percentage shooters. The Lakers on the other hand cannot shoot any better. Nuggets in five!
Hachimura held Jokic at three free throws, zero buckets, two turnovers, two personal fouls and two rebounds in 10 minutes in the fourth quarter. It's the Nuggets, who has to adapt to win.
Nick: "I don't think a historically great offense who's played at this high level all year will continue to do so even though they just did it on national television where it was the first time I actually watched them"
Yea the Lakers found something. But they also showed all their cards, and Broussard pointed out the obvious adjustments for the Nuggets which will be easier than it was for the Grizzlies or Warriors because of size. So, this is Malone’s series to win or lose. Should be exciting.
I say if they put Rui on Jokic, then im putting KCP and MPJ on the corners and using Gordan for Pick n Roll at top of the key. Murray will have a 10-15 footer or dump to Jokic and if AD helps over you have to shooters on the corners who can knock down the corner 3 consistently
Nuggets in 5... idk why people won't just give it to Denver this year... after 3 quarters they let off the gas bcuz they felt it ain't no way they coming back... with that said game 2 it ain't coming of the gas !!!
Stamina and endurance will be key in this series and LeBron was totally spent after G1....... him and AD can't really load manage now by sitting out games
Nuggets in 5. According to Nick, the Nuggets offer no resistance. Could he not see that the Lakers could offer no resistance to the Nuggets? They can't stop Jokic and Murray; heck, they can't stop anyone in the Nuggets starting five.
You are sadly mistaken. The Lakers played a small ball lineup most of the game which was a gift to the Nuggets and the reason for. Most of their run, once that was switched the advantage was mitigated... Lakers are the Defensive Juggernaut (who came out small and flat in the 1st half) not Denver
@@michaelspeaks4398 Dude, ALL the Lakers have is a small lineup compared to Denver. Who on the Lakers can match up with Denver's frontcourt of Michael Porter Jr or Aaron Gordon effectively? These Nuggets ain't the Warriors, they're big. Additionally, the whole starting 5 of Denver are high percentage shooters. Hard to guard that, whether you play small or big. This is why the Nuggets are going to win this in five, six tops.
Pretty much everyone on the Lakers outside of maybe Russell played really well yesterday. They still lost. I feel like their best chance to win in Denver was game 1.
Nick seems to Forget that Jokic only scored 4 points in the 4th quarter, i don't think that will happened next game but i van see him doing what he did the first three quarters again.
Except he has never done that before lol he did that because the Lakers rolled out a 3 guard lineup. Because they coach forgot they not playing the warriors
AD dropped 40/10, LeBron nearly had a triple double, you had help from other guys and still lost. What happens when AD has his 16/7 like every 3rd game this post season?
I dont know a team they played wow chemistry.. The Lakers have the newest lowest Chemistry of anyone, they just formed after the trade deadline line and are building in the toughest part of the year, postseason games and havent reach near the ceiling Wferas the Nuggets are who they are already, been together for years. That's scary!
Jokic is averaging 31,13 and 10 on 55/51/79 shooting splits. I think last nights games wasn’t his best. Murray is on and off, but the role players have been pretty consistent
Joker’s ability to make his teammates better and create open looks will almost ALWAYS show up. AD’s scoring and defense will show up together sometimes, though you often get 1 or the other - if you get anything at all.
Nuggets have shown to be the better rebounding team and the better offensive team in the playoffs, Lakers have to pick it up on the boards and find a way to stop Jokic without doubling or the Nuggets will rip them apart with extremely efficient 3 point shooting. Both teams won't keep shooting that well, but the Nuggets have done it all year so they're more likely to sustain it.
Take away his easy assists, let him score 50 if he wants, he did that against the Suns and they lost, just can't have guys like KCP have a career games the whole series lol
I have more faith in Denver staying consistently good than the Lakers who have been wildly inconsistent not just all year but all playoffs "lacking the past 3 games". It is funny to see Chris pick apart Nick's points though haha
Wright said last time that with the rest the lakers got altitude wasn’t gonna be much of a factor. Today he says the altitude concerns him. What’s it gonna be next time? Any takers?
@@michaelspeaks4398 that’s what I also believe, but this guy was precisely talking about it not being a factor for game 1. Lakers lost and now he’s concerned about altitude 🤷♂️
Lakers' starting lineup should be: PG - Shroder SG - Reaves SF - Rui PF - LeBron C - Davis Best lineup to deal with Denvers size and rebounding advantage. D. Lo should be no where near the starting lineup. He's too inconsistent offensively and a terrible defender.
@Rusty Taco cope short for coping So after a loss or something bad happens people tend to cope by doing things Nick is coping at the fact that the nuggets lost by acting like It was actually a good thing
After the Lakers acquired Hachimura Rui, Chris Broussard said, "Rui is not gonna move the needle" for the Lakers. These American sports 'analysts' continue to ridicule and underestimate the abilities of Japanese athletes...
This hopeful side of the lakers kinda goes both ways, you could say the nuggets did all this and they still only won by 3, but the argument could just as easily go the other way that a notoriously average offense with poor 3 point shooting put up 126 pts, shot 46% from 3, and had an outstanding game from both of their best players and you still lost.
Them desperately trying to paint some young Bron narrative that "Jokic isnt as good in the 4th" 😂😂. Jokic was clutch af all playoffs, and put the nail in the sweep with that 1 foot fading 3 wirh like 2 mins left.
Nick is so mad that Jokic’s performance was considered routine. Do people not do that exact thing with LeBron?! Why does he keep acting like ANYONE expected LeBron to make that wild, ridiculous heave?
Nick didn’t believe the bs he spews. AD and Lebron had perfect offensive games plus Reaces added another 23 and they had 26 free throws and lost. That is not a good sign AT ALL
@parhampanah The key is they won, you can continue acting like a clown however thinking AD is gonna be this dominant again in game 2. Jamal will get at least 25, MPJ will get 30, KCP 15, Jokic 35 and The Nuggets will win by 14 in game 2.

Lakers don’t need 40 from AD but if Jokic is gonna give AD that jumper wide open then AD will shoot it
The problem with Nick is: when he is talking about the Lakers or Chiefs, I know what he is going to say before he says it. Without exception. The Nuggets manhandled the Lakers and eased off the gas....and Nick is more optimistic....as we knew he would be.
They did not ease off, the Lakers put a brick under the gas pedal by removing the small ball lineup which was a gift to Denver...
Nick, stop acting like Denver won't learn from their mistakes in the fourth , like leaving Reaves wide open. If he had missed both threes, Lakers would not get close to 3. If anything, getting that win helped the Nuggets confidence moving forward.
