Incredible! I had a plastic version of this in the 80's that i could never get back into cube form. It was frustrating until I stopped trying to do that and just twisted it around like a stress relieving toy. 😅

I was given a mini 3x3x3 snake cube keychain as a free gift and thought it was pretty neat and not too difficult, but this one is a monster! There is no way I could remember all those moves, lol.

It is so difficult and hard to remember, that in one week i will struggle to solve it again. 2 cube elements are really tricky. You can put them in wrong orientation and the whole solution is doomed.

Thank you for your video. I follow Matthias Wandel and saw his version of the 3x3x3 snake cube a few weeks ago, and made it. Then I found out about this 4x4x4 version, it was easier to make it even though it was 64 cubes instead of 27 because I optimized the process, but the final snake is huge! My cubes are about 20 mm on the side and the whole thing is around 900 mm I think. I found some web pages where someone shows other variations of the 3x3x3 cube that have a different sequence. Some even have more than 1 solution! I wonder about a 5x5x5 version... that would be 125 cubes to make, and the resulting snake would be very difficult to manage, let alone solve. Also I can't find any trace of such a snake cube online. Whenever I search for 5x5x5 I always get Rubik's type puzzles.

Well I went down the rabbit hole and figured out how to make a 5x5x5 version of this puzzle. There are many possible versions of such a cube, but it's difficult to tell if it would be hard to actually fold it up. Just like the 3x3x3 and the 4x4x4, it'd be important for the start and end cubes to be on the surface, and for the 1 or 2 preceding folds to be along an outside surface as well.

J'ai essayé de suivre votre tuto. Alors plusieurs points négatifs me viennent : Trop rapide obliger de mettre sur pause toute les deux secondes. Et la fin est mal expliquer je l'ai fini tout seul sans votre aide. Alors la prochaine fois que vous faites une vidéo tuto essayer d'être beaucoup moins rapide et plus explicatif. Je met donc un pouce rouge à cette vidéo j'ai été déçu.
