Whenever his hand gets near to something, I gets nervous.

Is medie okay
For me, that includes his own body. I feel like knowing Mehdi, he'll somehow electrocute himself.
Best explanation on how a capacitor blocks DC! Seems legit.
I'm sorry but THANK YOU so MUCH for the laughs , I could not help myself. :)
Pretty hilarious. That sine wave just made my day. xD
GreatScott! Wow, you are here too. ;)
GreatScott! Haha I thought it was funny too Arnold
GreatScott! I
i seriously dont know how this guy does not have more views hes funny as hell
I believe that his channel will grow !
soon!
ask him. have him explain it on his own video.

Famous. Last. Words.
220V is very dangerous
I've never gotten zapped by 220 but I have gotten zapped by 277. Not fun
or should i say, they hertz alot
Soham Gumaste did you know he died in 2024?

Bc he never died. Also he will prob soon if he keeps this up
I got zapped by 240 vac when i was 6-8 years old; I put a pair of nails with BOTH HANDS!! (pretty dumb, but I was a curious guy) to this day i dont know why I didnt die
Let's to be Honest
Most part of this video we wait him to get shocked and realize we forgot the main content after the end
@Haridas More lol
I'm doing the same. Now I'll watch again to understand main content. 😅
I mean the video is about the electricity on *human body*
I am here only to see that!!🤣🤣🤣
I thought "getting shocked" is the main content.
100% how capacitors work
+Maxstar22 yep! Clue is in the names!! DC = dumb current, even a cap can fool it! AC = agile current, has no problem with caps, just jumps over! Tah-daaah!
Maxstar22
What about inductors? ;)
That was not a joke, that IS how capacitors work. I learned it at my education exactly like he explained at 4:00
Capacitors filters AC into Dc?

I'm an electrician by trade, and a double e by schooling. I feel like I've learned more by watching your videos than I ever did in a textbook setting. Thank you for doing what you do. Keep up the awesome.
For an electronics engineer this is like watching a horror flick.
DiggOlive Yep, basically like a snuf film.
For Frankensteins monster its like watching a horror flick
Not enough voltage to remove the unibrow.
1:25 Me when I connect my finished project to mains for the first time
Mehdi, I'm currently in school majoring in Electrical Engineering. It's been pretty daunting so far, but your videos always make me realize that there's a fun side to it. Thanks for keeping me motivated!
How'd it go..???
What do u do now
Were you able to complete school?
How's life mate?
Did you survive?
non technical people will take his cap explanation seriously.
i thought the same
It's a great way of remembering that AC can go through and DC cannot though. :)
Troll physics at its finest.
ikr?
how someone will take that explanation seriously if its followed by a unibrowed guy with an accent doing a "this is a retarded joke" sound?
man, the joke on the end will fuck up the brain of anyone new to electronics
yeah
One must be too stupid to take it seriously specially if they are in technical studies.
Mehdi is like a second father to me. Give me your love, Mr. Sadaghdar!
You are loved!
just Watch out because if you die the love Will not be so cool
ElectroBOOM hey mr.boom, you are such a funny TH-camr and you very smart and you teach me something every time I watch you vids. Thank you for all your hard and painful work
GreenSlayer - Dinosaurs,Pokemon,Gaming Mr.boom? wtf.. just laughed so hard brooo. xD
really? he is like my first father
1:42 "I'm not ginna touch 120 volt AC again" 20 seconds later touches the AC cables😂😂😂😂
DC not dangerous, sir?
Well either way it still hertz lol
@@educateandentertainment1592 both are. The point you should take from video is that human body allows ac to flow through it more easily
And at the beginning of the video, he said he *was* going to.
😁😁😂😂🤣😂😂😂😂
He taught us some useful thing when we were taking it as a comedy. Better than school, college & university lecturers.
Its not easy to be informative while keeping people entertained
It is very nice to see you back. I have an idea for a video. You can demonstrate the difference between a genuine mobile charger which has optocoupler and insulated transformer versus one of those cheap crap counterfeits without proper insulation between live voltage and output. People die or are badly injured because of those crap counterfeit chargers. Most of the videos on TH-cam in this regards are technical and consumers do not understand them. You are the man to educate ordinary people about the dangers of counterfeit chargers.
Well, I'll be also very happy if Mehdi explain why the hell dynamic microphone can zap somebody's lips if he sings in crappy rehearsal studio.
Teachers like him are very very rare

The perfect mix of entertainment and information. I especially like the time you take to not only discuss safety but to demonstrate why it is important. Great work on your videos!
I’ve watched so many of his videos that now, turning down the volume right before he plugs anything in has become my conditional reflex.
0:51, that is why I love this channel.
ac/dc fans expected something else,, ElectroBoom fans knew EXACTLY what would happen,, lol
Thunderstruck, either way.

i love this guy. the way he makes his " mistake" is just genius and such a laugh man! Your fantastic man, keep it up!
This guy is my spirit animal. Everytime I connect the circuit to a power source I anticipate a great boom and I my anticipation was never failed.

Excellent explanation for AC passing through a capacitor!
you think so? o_O
its the worst explanation i ever heard.
ChickenCommander That was sarcasm. I'm an electrical engineer
ChickenCommander dude everyone here understands that the explanation is just fake
yeah
why is it wrong
This is exactly what I was looking for many days. I am an amateur photographer and I wanted to run a normal Tungsten bulb on DC as they have possibly HIGHEST CRI Value but the problem with that is they flicker. SO I was wondering if I can run on DC. I hope they work. I am this to my DIY projects. Thank You Mehdi.
2:02 how is this guy even alive after doing the same mistake second time😂
Really good professional explanation at the end :D
I love when he does a mistake he instantly knows what he did wrong
2:01 I knew what was likely coming and I still jumped
4:18 wtf XDXD
When medhi struck by lightning,
Medhi: is that it? Btw it tickles.
When you touched the AC wires, you probably didn't plug it in because of how dangerous it is.
Well, I accidentally touched 240V AC once and it was just a tiny tickle. But it scared the hell out of me. And I don't recommend doing that on purpose because it can kill you.
been shocked by 120v and 277v. neither occasion was I holding a wire in each hand. once I was even slightly shocked by holding a non contact tester to a hot wire standing on a ladder up against a light pole. the wire was wet because it had just finished raining, and the insulation had old cracks. the 120v trying to get to the ground through my metal ladder was enough to make me feel the 'buzz' and it wasn't a good feeling.
most people only feel the shock of having a live wire try to use them to get to true earth ground (and get off lucky), rarely do they actually become a human resistor between a live and neutral/ground wire. in those situations it most certainly can be lethal.
Nothing good ever happens when he says "Let's plug it in!"
That would be an awesome album name. AC/DC High Voltage.

I'm surprised he can touch DC like this. I heard a story of the past in a french manufactury when everything was running on 110V. The worker got electrocuted. He was stuck by the current. He could not remove his hand. Eventually he managed to remove his hand from the electrocution and survived. And that's how we got his testimony. It is because of this problem that we moved to 220 AC because electrocution repells instead of catching.
This might already be answered in the comments. But I'd like to know why all of our home appliances are not DC powered if DC power is so much safer?
+Saeid Momtahan 1. Because it's hard to make AC from DC if you need it, but it's easy to make DC from AC.
2. Because AC voltage can be easily adjusted with a transformer. Lowering DC voltage requires more complicated circuit, raising it is even harder.
3. Electricity is transferred over long distances and transferring it in very high voltage greatly reduces losses. Combine that with previous point and you have one more reason.
+Saeid Momtahan AC travels farther than DC
I understand and agree with all above comments. What I mean is converting AC to DC at the meter in each home and supplying all DC powered appliances
+Saeid Momtahan See my points 1 and 2
+Saeid Momtahan Different appliances require different dc voltages. When you convert dc to dc power loss is higher. If you were to supply your house with 170 volts dc and you need 5 volts for your phone charger, that remaining 165 volts is wasted and is dissipated as heat. This is just too costly and energy hogging. It is far more easier to convert an Ac voltage to lower or higher AC voltages using transformers. The only losses in a transformer is a Iron loss (which is because of the iron core of the transformer and is always constant for a given transformer) and the copper loss (which is because of the copper winding, this depends on the amount of current being drawn). These loses are fairly small and can even be reduced by using better core and winding materials. So, now if you need 5v for your charger you can use a 120-9v transformer and than use a regulator to get 5v output.
