@netsamsam The term "clone" used in my remark was with reference to the current KPop music material and boyband/girlband content mimicking other KPop groups, their singing and video dance routines and general content, not other cultures or other music genres.
Korea needs to step it up. As long as new ideas keep coming out maybe they'll have chance but if they keep sticking to the same stories and plots then it will go stale.
I don't agree with his pov. I mean I'm korean myself, but Korea is not only country with 5000yrs of history therefore having advantage of telling stories. US has less than 500 years of history but have dominant entertainment market. I agree the last point that they will find the niche at the end. U don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure out that the asian culture in general will have greater impact globally within in 5 years.
we can found posting such a worth like this is only in ASIAN. almost in each forum ASIAN user too often compare his country to another country and fight argument one each other
The Korean Wave has morphed into the Korean "clone" wave...with one after another copy cat boy and girl bands devoid of talent and anything resembling originality...Please God, make it stop!
@kenhiggin cloning and copycat means to make something exactly the same. korean media content is affect by many culture especially us and western europe, japan. and then they add their culture. finally they create something new but not totally new. beatles mimiced elvis in the begining and us pop used beatles style. cultures are interactive and not created suddenly. it is alway on the lines of evolution. if you say us pop ciulture is belong to us, don't sell thier album, movies or any contents
HECKYES :) go korea
