She's Back! LOL We are back over at my parents house YAY! I have been helping my parents declutter there home for a little over a year now, its been a journey LOL My mom and I have slowly gone through areas in there house and started removing all the old stuff they no longer want, need or use. There's still a lot of work that needs to be done, as they have had over 30 years of stuff sitting in here home. Prior to me helping them declutter, my parents had never really decluttered before. There not on a journey to minimalism like I am, but they sure do want to be more minimal! There tired of keeping up with all the stuff! In todays video we revisit some areas (closets) that we have worked on in the past but were not finished & needed more decluttering work done! We also needed to find them areas and spaces to store the items they want to keep! Lots of decluttering and organization motivation in todays video, its also a great time, its always so much fun decluttering with my mom! Hope you enjoy the video! Luv & appreciate ya so much!

OMG Danielle your mom's (Robin) closet looks amazing!!!! Great job ladies. Robin this message is for you, I understand letting go of things you had for over 30 years is hard. It's memories that will remain in your heart forever. Let me say this, since I have decluttered my house, it makes me feel freedom I've never had before. I still want to do more. Our bedroom closet is full but it's mostly my husband's. He, himself has a hard time letting it go. It's not really sentimental stuff, it's things he spent money on. However, I think in time I will get the closet of my dreams, I'm being patient. You can do this Robin. It's hard at first, but once you build those decluttering muscles it will get easier. You have let go of alot.

When you were putting the pot holders back into the basket and your mom says 'put those on the bottom because I’ll never use them'! 😲🤣 I was yelling at the screen to get rid of them! Lol, too funny!

I love your mom!! I'm a retired military spouse and have learned to sort of let go with every move. However, it's been easier since I'm home all day now. At 64, I finally said enough is enough. I donate things to others and only keep the very minimal that means something to me. I just don't want my children to have to go through all the crap I've kept when I'm gone. Time to enjoy life and clean out and donate stuff instead of hiding things in bins. Congratulations to you and your mom for purging and moving forward.

I actually had a britney spears poster that instead of getting rid of it, i thumbtacked it to to ceiling of my childhood closet. She could always put the angel poster on the side or back walls of the closet too. I think it would look nice on the ceiling. You wont be able to see it unless you are actually standing close to the closet.
That top shelf in the closet is the real MVP 🤣 hanging on for dear sweet life.

I have three towels that hang with buttons closed. One on the stove handle, and two on the back of chairs to wipe clean, wet hands on! Believe me, we use ours! Lol. 🌻

Your Mom needs a very large card box made for cards with holidays and month dividers. I used to have 2 now down to one-I stopped buying cards until my stash went down to a reasonable amount. Your Mom has done a great job! Have a great summer.
Love seeing you and your mum together, she is such fun. She really decluttered quite a bit of stuff and has has made such progress with the pot holders too. The bathroom cabinet looked great after you re-sorted through it. Btw when your mum said “I don’t care about all the stuff I leave behind because you can clean it up when I’m gone” I fell about laughing because my mum said exactly the same thing. The difference is my mum meant it, I know because of the sheer volume of things my mum left behind when she passed that has taken my brother and me four months to deal with. We spent one whole week just organising it and there were five of us doing so. Anyway, I think the closet you reorganised looked fabulous after you had finished, your mum should be so proud of you Danni. ‘Asswam’ 😂 I was laughing so much. If you ever do make merch I’d start with mugs that say “I love a good Jar of Coffee in the morning”, or “Why? I don’t know!” and a candle holder that says “l’ve had a lightbulb moment”, or “light up your life with Rae’s”.

💯 I couldn't agree more, when I started to declutter and I really started to notice a difference in my spaces it truly brought me so much peace and joy. It must be a "Robyn Thing" with the cards!. I have a stack that I have worked two years on sending them out and still have about 50 left.I went and organized them by birthday, anniversary, new baby, graduation, etc. That has made it easier. The fuzz/bug incident was so funny! -from another Robyn.
