I saw the Hellecasters 4 times back in the 90s in Southern California. Their concerts take you on a journey and then bring you back again into reality when the show is over. These guys are from another planet. Just simply amazing.
Fabulous guitar playing here......but also let's give kudos to the drummer who kept up that shuffle on his drum kit for 13 minutes without missing a beat!
this is real music. not just shredding, but harmony melody ingenuityspeedpickingoriginalitygoodnesssoundmakingandallsortsofthingsthatonlymasterscandothisiswhatmusicisallabout stuff
The negative comments crack me up. Would love to the folks saying stupid shit post their renditions. This is absolutely brilliant. 3 masters. All with their own styles. Just insane talent.
Albert is good , but also know that John can play any style of music , e.g Gypsy Jazz , heavy metal etc. Clarinet, Sax, Piano , Mandoline , violin, what a genius.
I being much drawn to the tele, and having built my own, find it remarkable that the instruments being played are so far removed from from the thing they are trying to emulate. It's perhaps just an oddity, and that the guitars are the result of personal preferences, and then the name hits me like a ton of bricks. I guess I'll just pick up my nocasters and run.
The tele is only the platform. It was a workingman's guitar. A lot of country guys love the original. A lot of rock guys upgrade components. A rule that has been broken by Brent Mason. Springsteen and Gatton both went for blades or stacked pickups. No matter what, changes are somewhat limited, so the soul of a tele lives on somehow. Purity is for the staid. I built a Fender with Don Rich in mind and a Korean Hamer T5M with G&L MFDs. The fun is discovery.
@@tomformanek3312 These guys are so great, yet don't get a lot of exposure. I had a cool project off brand Tele, it was a rare Gretch with a very chuncky fat neck and HUGE headstock, kinda like a old Vox. It was a solidbody. It was a really quality guitar. I put a set of Bill Lawernce single coil blade pickups from Bill and Becky, and I wish I hadn't sold it, It was a really nice guitar. I seem to always have a project going on or on the back burner. We had CNC machines at work, and I could cut pickup pockets or bridge pockets, or cab faceplates. Not sure of brand, but was MIJ
I bow down to Jerry Donahue, but Jorgenson and Will Ray are monster players. I have a CD of J Jorgenson playing like Django on one half and Benny Goodman the other half. Saw him in very small venue with his Django band,. Wow.
Hi Jeff. I remember writing this comment but have to revisit it. I live the playing but think it might’ve been overkill. How long can a lead go on for? Minus any melody it detracts fr the song. Just my. 2 pennies though. Make no mistake though I wish I could chicken pick like that….

hell yes!
As much as I like Vai, Satriani, Yngwie, et al., the Hellecasters are even more intimidating!
Jerry Donahue is what I aspire to be. Them bends man
These guys are unbelieveble. Amazing! I love all their albums.
Think about the affect Albert Lee had on all these guys. Albert is DA MAN!
Absolutely.
Most mortal guitarists would be looking on at John thinking "how on earth do I top that?". But Jerry and Will aren't mere mortals either! Great stuff.
Get well soon Jerry
the most impressive was the drummer that don't stop a single time haha
¡Yo tengo sus tres primeros cd's! Tesoros del legado de John Jorgenson, Will Ray y Jerry Donahue, MAESTROS.

That drummer surely has got some lungs!
The best. Thank You.
My dog can play KISS music when he scratches for fleas. These guys are talented.
$$$$$$kissmyass kissss sucks......
Jerry, John and Will.....phew. What can I say?!
This is madness.
Albert is good , but also know that John can play any style of music , e.g Gypsy Jazz , heavy metal etc. Clarinet, Sax, Piano , Mandoline , violin, what a genius.
We know that. It would be almost impossible to generate the speed without it. He's still a very good guitarist, and his rhythm is out of this world.
Pretty amazing!
Imagine being the Jerry Donahue -- the guy who gets to solo AFTER John Jorgenson!
Holy motherfucking shit!!!
HELL YEAH!
3:38 to 4:10 is just so great
Will Ray was amazing at this song!
Kick ass drummer that for sure!
Pretty certain that's Steve Duncan
Great stuff.

edgeofeternity101 nocasters are badass. I want an Esquire

They might be good players but I didn't hear the tune of Orange Blossom Special in there anywhere
Because they created their version dude..... 🤦🏾♂️
the "inane" drumming is the Orange Blossom Special, steaming down the railroad tracks. Probably too young to realize that.
perfect!!!
that is some severely wild picking
Crazy good
what bunch of dufus's put thumbs down.....oh ya the TP hoarders....hahahahaha
Jerry just likes to let them fiddle about before the real stuff kicks in.....
He learned that from Albert Lee? Albert is the Tele master period amen.....
Bloody insanity - esp. Jorgensen.
John Jorgenson is a Monster player.
INSANITY!!!!
Drummer: Jesus christ can I change drum beats yet?
are the others guys even playing
Is WR the only guitarist to use a slide on each hand?
HE HAS RINGS/BANDS ON HIS FINGERS!!!
My hand is tired from watching this.
Both of mine are tired during this COVID-19 stay home stuff, and that includes the left (I’m a righty).
Jean Luc me too bro
Is that a MATCHLESS ON THE RIGHT??
Staccato ?
sure be glad to ..i only have 1 finger on each hand..ill play O.B.S. with a slide..
I notice AC30s...
AC15 handwired, AC30
Jerry so much more palatable somehow. Not puttin John down but there's zero flash.
Ah, AC30s. The best amp arguably, just heavy as!
Yngwie who?
What finger work!! where was the melody? Spotniks had melody as well as speed.
They play so loud I can't hear the vocals!
Adderall
Compared to the other two, Jerry seems uninspired.
the speed is ALLin the Echo effect...sorry guys..
the speed is in the fingers
Let's see your version!
It's called delay...guy
Take the effects off and what do we have...NOT much really! Jerry J wipes the floor with that overplaying crap...
I bow down to Jerry Donahue, but Jorgenson and Will Ray are monster players. I have a CD of J Jorgenson playing like Django on one half and Benny Goodman the other half. Saw him in very small venue with his Django band,. Wow.
Inane drumming destroys this. Jerry Donahue is forced to compete with idiocy.
his version is ok ,,but all the sped comes from the echo he is using..
When they can play KISS stuff, Ill be impressed. Until then, keep messing up the intro to love gun.
This is good, not great playing. Not sure why everyone is fawning over it. About 8 minutes too long too.
You an return to listening Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber now. Thank you for your input.

@@philliptripolonejr.1589 no, you're right. This just drug on.
its really a great Fiddle classic....too much doodling with the guitars....sometimes its best to leve well enough alone.....
