When I play franchise I have to handicap myself to make it fair because of how easy it is to exploit the game. Cpu cant draft logically, cant trade logically, cant sign FA logically, cant re sign their players logically, and cant develop players. Its a fuckin joke. BUT OH HEY A KNEW MUT CARD JUST CAME OUT, ITS ONLY THE 6th DIFFERENT VERSION OF THE SAME FUCKING PLAYER, BUT THIS ONE HAS 94 STRENGTH AND THE LAST ONE HAD 93!!!!!!
Franchise is in DESPERATE need of a complete overhaul. Right now it isn't a franchise mode, it's a series of menus you navigate to play games. There is no meaningful way to game plan each week, just play 2 mini games and that's it. Why can't we get a real spotlight on a few key plays that the upcoming team likes to run? Or focus on one key matchup that we want to exploit and practice with that? Why is there no off-season training camp? The mini games are already in the game, why can't we do a few of them in the offseason to help upgrade our players? What about a rookie minicamp? Talking to the media? Locker room disputes? TRUE contract negotiations? How come the draft process is so barebones? Why can't we pick 5 players (more if you have a scouting trait) and put them through Pro Day workouts to learn more about them. Why can't we play the pro bowl? So many things that should be in the mode but they aren't. It's so damn barebones that it's laughable. And don't get me started on "career" mode, which is literally just playing normal franchise from the perspective of one player. You know because it makes total sense that my rookie WR is calling plays on offense.
In my third season with the colts, the jets drafted with the first pick a rookie qb with 81 ovr, after the first week of preseason a 13 year veteran (dont remenber who) showed up, they cut the rookie and go on to sign the veteran because of his ovr.
Yeah.. happens all the time, often to my benefit. Which is bogus because I try to play moderately realistic and it just taints it. Offseason draft is bogus is well; they just copped out regarding the names and decided to use a lot of league player's last names- this is my first Madden in like 4 or 5 years and I'm extremely disappointed
I was especially on kickoffs when I let the kick meter go all the way red it glitches the accuracy and makes u kick it short or in key moments you'll be kicking a field goal down by three the CPU slows the gameplay down to let the CPU block it
It's so freaking bad. But I know EXACTLY what they are doing and it all stems to their "play the moments" gameplay. Every game you play, the AI is trying to create those "moments" in each game. That's why you have so many missed PAT's because they are trying to set up gaming winning drive situations. I play as a QB a lot and I can't tell you how many times I've had a 14 point lead with just over 2 minutes left and I've watched David Johnson, who has 150+ yards at this point, run completely away from huge lanes and run right into a wall of defenders on the other side. Of course the team gets the ball back twice and proceeds to score with virtually no time being taken off the clock and then the process repeats itself. So you think "ok, I'll just pass." Ha! Anybody else sick of seeing your lineman block themselves in these situations and the entire defense is on you in less than a second? The truth is, the people who actually program the game have probably never even stepped foot on an actual field let alone thrown a ball or tried to defend someone. They have no clue as to how people move on a football field. Final example: On wet fields (rain or snow), I see receivers falling down coming out of their breaks about ever 4-5 plays. But I NEVER see a defender fall down. And anyone who has ever actually played a game on a slick field knows that it is far more likely for a CB to fall than a WR because the WR knows where he is going whereas the CB has to react to the WR. Little details like this just go to show that the people over their at EA don't really know the sport they are trying to model their game after. Just because they have connections and get realistic type playbooks and have nike on the gloves doesn't mean they know a damn thing about football. Rant over. ✌

one thing moody I have noticed is that in cfm the cpu teams does not develop their players and in the free agency you get stuck with scrubs like at the qb position because A. the game does not again progress players and B. the game removes players, like in my cfm the highest qb overall in free agency is a 65.
Quite honestly never even got this far into a franchise cause they make it so utterly boring that I get bored after the first or second season....I just make a ton of franchises and like them at first and then it's too easy or too stagnant that it just gets boring

As a side note, its already been mentioned this is on "Manual" settings. If that was the case then the CPU should be doing nothing. It certainly signs and resigns players at will. Progresses and modifies the depth charts. So I fail to see how the computer can do some but not all.

Wouldn't surprise me if cfm is still filled with a bunch of 6'4 and taller wrs in the upcoming draft either. A lot of people complained about that in madden 17. It's so unrealistic, it should be hard to get a big wr, especially one with speed.
My biggest pet peeve is the god awful draft day trade logic that I absolutely take advantage of. Go to draft day and select view trade offers for pick. It's incredible the value you can get from one first round pick
What's really sad is that on Madden 09 on the PS2 the same problem occurs. Within 4 years you won't see many QBs and fbs but you'll see plenty of dbs and wrs. Some teams won't even have more than one qb. It's really pathetic when you think about it
Great video! this is why I DO NOT let the CPU manage anything for me which makes franchise playable at least for me. I lost my my top DT, I traded both of my safeties for top 15 picks in the first round meaning that I had three 1st round picks, I draft the two best safeties in the draft and the best outside linebacker as well. I wrote this because the CPU would have done none of this for me, hence the reason why I don't let them manage anything not even xp, because they spend that on stupid shit instead of the important ratings.
REEDFEEDZ, I think the off-season stuff is one of my favorite parts of the game. I love drafting players, making trades to get the players I want in the draft. Signing free agents. It's fun to build the team, and watch the players develop. Just stinks that the ai can't keep up. I'll develop players, then release them just so the other teams sign them. Hoping to help them out. Doesn't always work though. Sometimes a team will sign my developed player when they already have a star. So a great player ends up riding the bench

Oddly enough, I've been told I somehow did this on "Manual" making the game by default mess up expecting me to make changes. It speaks pretty loudly that maybe two people of the two thousand who have seen this might have seen the "manual" issues.

Great video. I have played Madden since the Sega Genesis days. Franchise was the mode I played as well. I agree that Franchise Mode is not only disappointing, but seems to be getting worse. I also found playing the CPU was completely predictable. You are up by 14 - 17 points...here comes the "exciting finish". The CPU can't move the ball all game then suddenly ties the game in the final minutes. Of course you have a perfect 2 minute drill and win the "exciting"game. I decided to try online play this year. I like the competition and am doing pretty well. But what I find frustrating is people don't play "real" football. QB's take 20 yard drops. They run with the QB all the time and he never gets injured. People go for it on 4th and long deep in their own territory especially if they are behind and if they don't make it quit the game. I would like to see EA do something that either rewards people for playing the game realistically or penalizes you if you don't. Although there are so many other problems I can't see them addressing these. I was interested in your thoughts.
Sean Powers I have seen the same. All quarterbacks are Gods in the last 2 minutes of the half in 17 and 18. I expect a team to step up there but come on.
Also Re: Moncrief... Broughton looks decent. I'm assuming he was drafted. Whether it was random or by design, they addressed a need at WR. It's not super ideal, but it's better than M17 loading your team at one position.
I think a lot of what you said towards the beginning of the video has to do with you simming to the playoffs. When your season is over you automatically sign your whole practice squad, potentially leading to having some extra players at certain positions
Aaron Donald had 30+ sacks in 2 separate seasons in my cfm. He was on a CPU controlled team. Graham was 2nd in the league with 24 sacks. And apparently everyone can get atleast 5 ints in a single season just by showing up. The stats are too godly
I absolutely hated it in Madden 13 they took away the offline season/franchise option. Unbelievable!!! Clearly done so that you have to buy the new Madden each year if you want to play a season. Now after the new Madden comes out your old madden is only good for exhibition matches. Yet from Madden 95-2012 you can play everything offline. Another example of EA taking out options instead of adding them.
Truth is they only focus on ultimate team...thats where their money comes from...they gave offliners longshot in hopes that would safice..microtransactions are what the gaming industry is about now days wheather you like it or not.
All I want to know is what happened to making a player and getting drafted. I don't want to choose my team. I want to be drafted and fight for a position as starter instead of automatically being 1st string anywhere you go no matter your overall. Along those lines, why should I be making the play calls as a rookie running back. I decided to play as Alvin Kamara because he went to Tennessee and all of a sudden it made him 1st string despite AP and Ingram being on the Saints line up and about ten overall lower than both and now I'm calling plays as well. It's the lack of detail and care to make an immersive experience which annoys me.
On madden 17 I had created a QB for the Jets for CFM and the computer completely screwed my team up. After Brandon Marshall retired 2 seasons in I had Eric Decker as my main receiver but he also got injured so my second WR stepped up and I raised him to like a high 80 overall and they let him go but kept an injuried Eric Decker. And this happened multiple seasons
Another thing I hate is the fact I like to simulate try to build up teams over a few years NOPE. No progression at all to me the salary cap seems off a bit if you sign someone good your screwed
I watched a YT vid of someone that took control of all 32 teams and put all the QBs on one team then traded around the league to build his team. Of course he ended up with a great team cuz everyone needed QBs. His first couple attempts crashed the game but once he got through the trading he had a complete team with lots of superstars (salary cap turned off) and simmed the season. The CPU ended up leaving him with a roster of like 15 players or something. It was beyond stupid.
Ive had a situation playing CFM in OT (I'm playing as defensive player) where my offense goes down and kicks a field goal, we then prevent the offense from getting in scoring distance and the clock runs out. Game over. Except the game gave starts a second OT where they start with the ball first and win...? Doesn't make sense, game is broken.
And now after watching a few more minutes Ive been thinking. When you are in control of a team, it falls on you to make all the decisions so the computer is probably making making the least amount of effort. A better way to look at it might be to follow a team that is not controlled by the user and see how that goes. I know you can change to settings to have the computer pick up some of the slack like sign free agents and even trade, but i have never messed with it. So try doing a video like this but viewing a team you don't control

You realize how overwhelming that would get? Lets say a team needs 5 changes a season, thats 155 times you need to assess another teams roster to change / approve / deny? Game should be better than that, this is simple stuff.
This would be so easy to fix if they just coded the game so that the AI would attempt to retain or increase the overall rating of each position, but EA refuses to change the coding

The other teams in the division I'm playing in haven't been that bad and of course my team hasn't done that of course I'm controlling my team though but I am playing as a player. Lucky I have not seen this but ea needs to look into this. Also I always play franchise with the CPU

It would be interesting to run the same experiment with the roster decisions on auto or cpu controlled or whatever it's called. And see if the logic is any different since John White said on "manual" decisions are made week to week and not in any holistic sense. I still suspect with the cpu in control you'd see something very similar.

Well.. It took me my 2nd season to win the super bowl with the cowboys. I gutted the defense & restocked with young players via tradeing for the previous years best picks. Trades got easier and easier, And I turned off injuries. All in all it was fun as hell. I mean, you can edit players & there skills & age & contracts. Isn’t that pretty much what we wanna do. I mean, You can recreate NFL legends and play with them. You can have ED 2 TALL JONES... just because.
This is unrelated but does anyone else hate the punt blocking? You can break through the line easily but when you actually attempt to block it, the punter magically punts the ball around you EVERY TIME. I just played a game where I broke through 5 times and didn't block it once when pretty much touching the punter and he gets it around me. This literally just cost me a game. I was losing by 1 with 10 seconds left. They were punting from their own 5. I got through and it went through me

The fact that Madden doesn't have coding that would tell the AI controlled teams to acquire the right players and fill positional needs is embarrassing. It's like the programmers looked at an NFL roster and decided that teams just keep more RB's, WR's, and CB's and therefore they must carry those positions in bulk regardless of talent. I know we are tired of saying this, but the day 2k is able to make a football game again will be the day we can all start enjoying a proper football game again.
My problem with franchise mode is when I play as a cornerback or safety the ai absolutely refuses to test you unless you are completely out of position making interceptions hard to get and gameplay super boring it is unrealistic for a QB to completely ignore a rookie s/cb for an entire game complete bullshit game mechanics

I don't think CFM is nearly as good as it could be. They said they will overhaul it next year but to leave it literally untouched this year is just not cool. I'm a whole season into my offline CFM when I learned that the regression fix is only available in the cloud version of CFM. Wtf? Why? That's so stupid! But at the same time, I feel like some of the roster judgements you were making were unfair. A lot of the time those sucky WRs and CBs were PS guys that are just on the main roster in the preseason and offseason. The logic doesn't seem as flawed as you think in that specific situation. But you're right. The logic moving forward isn't good. It makes CFM boring to play honestly when the CPU trots out rosters with unrealistic gaping holes.
It looks like that the teams run on a certain programming and don't change. Yet the rosters look like they have been constructed by a 4 year old. It seems like they start to run out of players after a few years in CFM.
EA always leave out important little things too. Like season stats for example. The no way in hell Brett Hundley should be throwing for 400 yard and 4 tds against a seahawks defense. Khalil Mack consistently finishes seasons with 2-4 sacks. Steelers backup running back will finish season with 18 tds Leveon bell will have 7. Its horrible.

They say, "We just need to get this right or that right" every year. Their input means nothing. Having a new, more powerful gaming system like PS4 and X1 is pointless if visuals and microtransactions are the focal point. I think the big problem is the generated players, there aren't that many great players to replace the ones that retire, so because of this after the great players retire they aren't replaced in the draft so when you create an awesome team you have no competition, this is why franchise mode becomes boring after like 5/6 seasons for me
I’ve done a CFM only controlling my guy a QB for the Cardinals we had Palmer who was a good QB 2nd string after a yr we sign Teddy Bridgewater and now have 3 QB’s atleast 80 overall when Fitzgerald retired the offense was subpar but they resigned Palmer and signed Teddy to a nice deal smh I went into rage and started over on a new team
Madden maybe can be compared to Need for Speed great visually car game but as another car game Gran Turismo was the most simulated car game I ever played to me the best ever that was back then don't know what else is out there
Did you turn on fill rosters ? Also why didn't you show other teams ? Keep in mind those rosters are filled with practice squad guys at the beginning of the preseason. So you saying why your roster has so many corners and running backs is refuted once you apply that logic. Sorry but I find it hard to believe your team wouldn't make any trades or attempt to sign free agents if you had everything set to AUTO.
CPU roster building is terrible and has been for a long, long time. It kills any CFM longevity as a solo CFM player cause my team will dominate year after year after year.

Wouldn't surprise me if cfm is still filled with a bunch of 6'4 and taller wrs in the upcoming draft either. A lot of people complained about that in madden 17. It's so unrealistic, it should be hard to get a big wr, especially one with speed.

My biggest pet peeve is the god awful draft day trade logic that I absolutely take advantage of. Go to draft day and select view trade offers for pick. It's incredible the value you can get from one first round pick

In ESPN2k5 I have played many full 17 season franchise modes, and CPU teams always make sure they have a kicker and a punter ;)
What's really sad is that on Madden 09 on the PS2 the same problem occurs. Within 4 years you won't see many QBs and fbs but you'll see plenty of dbs and wrs. Some teams won't even have more than one qb. It's really pathetic when you think about it
Great video! this is why I DO NOT let the CPU manage anything for me which makes franchise playable at least for me. I lost my my top DT, I traded both of my safeties for top 15 picks in the first round meaning that I had three 1st round picks, I draft the two best safeties in the draft and the best outside linebacker as well. I wrote this because the CPU would have done none of this for me, hence the reason why I don't let them manage anything not even xp, because they spend that on stupid shit instead of the important ratings.
REEDFEEDZ, I think the off-season stuff is one of my favorite parts of the game. I love drafting players, making trades to get the players I want in the draft. Signing free agents. It's fun to build the team, and watch the players develop. Just stinks that the ai can't keep up. I'll develop players, then release them just so the other teams sign them. Hoping to help them out. Doesn't always work though. Sometimes a team will sign my developed player when they already have a star. So a great player ends up riding the bench
The CPU AI has always been crap, constantly drafting the same players they already have, drafting the same position multiple times
Also getting players in free agency that don't fit their scheme

I can't even do franchise. It's just a complete mess. No patch can fix that. I'm just doing one season and I start over. Sad when games from two generations ago have better franchise A.I. Code.
Oddly enough, I've been told I somehow did this on "Manual" making the game by default mess up expecting me to make changes. It speaks pretty loudly that maybe two people of the two thousand who have seen this might have seen the "manual" issues.

Not only this but the CPU ai as far as managing injuries, signing players, placing players on IR is non existent, not to mention they make unnecessary trades smh the game is broke and makes CFM unenjoyable and unrealistic you have to manually take control of the whole league in order to have a decent time.

Great video. I have played Madden since the Sega Genesis days. Franchise was the mode I played as well. I agree that Franchise Mode is not only disappointing, but seems to be getting worse.
I also found playing the CPU was completely predictable. You are up by 14 - 17 points...here comes the "exciting finish". The CPU can't move the ball all game then suddenly ties the game in the final minutes. Of course you have a perfect 2 minute drill and win the "exciting"game. I decided to try online play this year. I like the competition and am doing pretty well. But what I find frustrating is people don't play "real" football. QB's take 20 yard drops. They run with the QB all the time and he never gets injured. People go for it on 4th and long deep in their own territory especially if they are behind and if they don't make it quit the game. I would like to see EA do something that either rewards people for playing the game realistically or penalizes you if you don't. Although there are so many other problems I can't see them addressing these. I was interested in your thoughts.
Sean Powers I have seen the same. All quarterbacks are Gods in the last 2 minutes of the half in 17 and 18. I expect a team to step up there but come on.

Broughton looks decent. I'm assuming he was drafted. Whether it was random or by design, they addressed a need at WR. It's not super ideal, but it's better than M17 loading your team at one position.

I’m here from the future and I can confirm that EA uses CFM to wash their balls every morning in the shower.
I think a lot of what you said towards the beginning of the video has to do with you simming to the playoffs. When your season is over you automatically sign your whole practice squad, potentially leading to having some extra players at certain positions
Aaron Donald had 30+ sacks in 2 separate seasons in my cfm. He was on a CPU controlled team. Graham was 2nd in the league with 24 sacks. And apparently everyone can get atleast 5 ints in a single season just by showing up. The stats are too godly
I absolutely hated it in Madden 13 they took away the offline season/franchise option. Unbelievable!!! Clearly done so that you have to buy the new Madden each year if you want to play a season. Now after the new Madden comes out your old madden is only good for exhibition matches. Yet from Madden 95-2012 you can play everything offline. Another example of EA taking out options instead of adding them.

Truth is they only focus on ultimate team...thats where their money comes from...they gave offliners longshot in hopes that would safice..microtransactions are what the gaming industry is about now days wheather you like it or not.
All I want to know is what happened to making a player and getting drafted. I don't want to choose my team. I want to be drafted and fight for a position as starter instead of automatically being 1st string anywhere you go no matter your overall. Along those lines, why should I be making the play calls as a rookie running back. I decided to play as Alvin Kamara because he went to Tennessee and all of a sudden it made him 1st string despite AP and Ingram being on the Saints line up and about ten overall lower than both and now I'm calling plays as well. It's the lack of detail and care to make an immersive experience which annoys me.
On madden 17 I had created a QB for the Jets for CFM and the computer completely screwed my team up. After Brandon Marshall retired 2 seasons in I had Eric Decker as my main receiver but he also got injured so my second WR stepped up and I raised him to like a high 80 overall and they let him go but kept an injuried Eric Decker. And this happened multiple seasons

Another thing I hate is the fact I like to simulate try to build up teams over a few years NOPE. No progression at all to me the salary cap seems off a bit if you sign someone good your screwed
I watched a YT vid of someone that took control of all 32 teams and put all the QBs on one team then traded around the league to build his team. Of course he ended up with a great team cuz everyone needed QBs. His first couple attempts crashed the game but once he got through the trading he had a complete team with lots of superstars (salary cap turned off) and simmed the season. The CPU ended up leaving him with a roster of like 15 players or something. It was beyond stupid.

Ive had a situation playing CFM in OT (I'm playing as defensive player) where my offense goes down and kicks a field goal, we then prevent the offense from getting in scoring distance and the clock runs out. Game over. Except the game gave starts a second OT where they start with the ball first and win...? Doesn't make sense, game is broken.
And now after watching a few more minutes Ive been thinking. When you are in control of a team, it falls on you to make all the decisions so the computer is probably making making the least amount of effort. A better way to look at it might be to follow a team that is not controlled by the user and see how that goes. I know you can change to settings to have the computer pick up some of the slack like sign free agents and even trade, but i have never messed with it. So try doing a video like this but viewing a team you don't control
See this is crazy because anybody who follows football knows that every franchise has a department where all they do is watch college football games to see who the best player is but see with Madden they know they don't have true people who understands football so they just throw anything together in franchise mode and this is what you get everything in Madden is stagnant and it's basically saying you're going to buy it and we're going to bump you and your butt because we know that you love Madden and you're going to buy and it comes around again as a consumer we got to stop by in this game but you got people who's blind and do not want to hold EA Sports accountable is this is sad man this is Madden 18 and for some odd reason 2K did it the best and still does it the best it's time for you to wake up man #save 65

I think it would be a slight fix for people like me that do everything for a team if we were allowed to veto moves that other teams make, preventing them from doing dumb shit or star players retiring at age 32 as a qb
You realize how overwhelming that would get? Lets say a team needs 5 changes a season, thats 155 times you need to assess another teams roster to change / approve / deny? Game should be better than that, this is simple stuff.

Wtf, this hasn't happened to me as far as I know. The other teams in the division I'm playing in haven't been that bad and of course my team hasn't done that of course I'm controlling my team though but I am playing as a player. Lucky I have not seen this but ea needs to look into this. Also I always play franchise with the CPU

@ 10:00 Not only that, it looks like you're in the preseason. If anything, a team should have multiple kickers and punters to give each of them some game time reps, considering the maximum size of a preseason roster is more than 53 players.
It would be interesting to run the same experiment with the roster decisions on auto or cpu controlled or whatever it's called. And see if the logic is any different since John White said on "manual" decisions are made week to week and not in any holistic sense. I still suspect with the cpu in control you'd see something very similar.
Its strange to me that something only him and about 5 people mentioned. My response would be the same, if the CPU is to do something, it should be doing a complete job. If the CPU is to do nothing, then I honestly should just run out of players.
Well.. It took me my 2nd season to win the super bowl with the cowboys. I gutted the defense & restocked with young players via tradeing for the previous years best picks. Trades got easier and easier, And I turned off injuries. All in all it was fun as hell. I mean, you can edit players & there skills & age & contracts. Isn’t that pretty much what we wanna do. I mean, You can recreate NFL legends and play with them. You can have ED 2 TALL JONES... just because.
Unreal that ea hasn't addressed this problem with cfm for all of these years.

This is unrelated but does anyone else hate the punt blocking? You can break through the line easily but when you actually attempt to block it, the punter magically punts the ball around you EVERY TIME. I just played a game where I broke through 5 times and didn't block it once when pretty much touching the punter and he gets it around me. This literally just cost me a game. I was losing by 1 with 10 seconds left. They were punting from their own 5. I got through and it went through me
Blocking punts has been one in a million the past 5 years. Seems like I can block kicks at will, so go figure.
CFL really has disappointed me this year. They haven't changed anything from last year. The game is a mess. I think it's almost unplayable...

Also curious what the salary figures look like. Are teams overpaying for bad players? Not signing players at all? What on earth is going on around the league that causes this?

The fact that Madden doesn't have coding that would tell the AI controlled teams to acquire the right players and fill positional needs is embarrassing. It's like the programmers looked at an NFL roster and decided that teams just keep more RB's, WR's, and CB's and therefore they must carry those positions in bulk regardless of talent.
I know we are tired of saying this, but the day 2k is able to make a football game again will be the day we can all start enjoying a proper football game again.
I think the logic is that it's off-season and they're filling up the 90 man rosters.
My problem with franchise mode is when I play as a cornerback or safety the ai absolutely refuses to test you unless you are completely out of position making interceptions hard to get and gameplay super boring it is unrealistic for a QB to completely ignore a rookie s/cb for an entire game complete bullshit game mechanics

I don't think CFM is nearly as good as it could be. They said they will overhaul it next year but to leave it literally untouched this year is just not cool. I'm a whole season into my offline CFM when I learned that the regression fix is only available in the cloud version of CFM. Wtf? Why? That's so stupid!
But at the same time, I feel like some of the roster judgements you were making were unfair. A lot of the time those sucky WRs and CBs were PS guys that are just on the main roster in the preseason and offseason. The logic doesn't seem as flawed as you think in that specific situation.
But you're right. The logic moving forward isn't good. It makes CFM boring to play honestly when the CPU trots out rosters with unrealistic gaping holes.
Perhaps EA built a very robust simulator for the Bears and the Browns...?
It looks like that the teams run on a certain programming and don't change. Yet the rosters look like they have been constructed by a 4 year old. It seems like they start to run out of players after a few years in CFM.

EA always leave out important little things too. Like season stats for example. The no way in hell Brett Hundley should be throwing for 400 yard and 4 tds against a seahawks defense. Khalil Mack consistently finishes seasons with 2-4 sacks. Steelers backup running back will finish season with 18 tds Leveon bell will have 7. Its horrible.

Keep it real Ryan. Keep on. The game changers, aka SIM and Smitty, are apart of the EA marketing team. Not just them. There are more. They say, "We just need to get this right or that right" every year. Their input means nothing.
Having a new, more powerful gaming system like PS4 and X1 is pointless if visuals and microtransactions are the focal point. The AI and warping in these sports games needs to be fixed. 2K basketball too. Same bad AI and the same game play issues every year. The presentation has upgraded though. What about legacy issues 2K? Players sliding on ice skates and defensive AI is trash.
It starting to seem like its more apologies than anything else. I even asked for a response to this and got "we know its needs to improve". 5 years ago, the community would have had 6 videos from 4 channels all giving our own takes on this.

I think the big problem is the generated players, there aren't that many great players to replace the ones that retire, so because of this after the great players retire they aren't replaced in the draft so when you create an awesome team you have no competition, this is why franchise mode becomes boring after like 5/6 seasons for me
Everyone ends up generally being average in the game, really damages replay value.

Supposed to be the best game mode, but it's neglected. A good franchise mode keeps me into the game the whole year.
I’ve done a CFM only controlling my guy a QB for the Cardinals we had Palmer who was a good QB 2nd string after a yr we sign Teddy Bridgewater and now have 3 QB’s atleast 80 overall when Fitzgerald retired the offense was subpar but they resigned Palmer and signed Teddy to a nice deal smh I went into rage and started over on a new team

Madden maybe can be compared to Need for Speed great visually car game but as another car game Gran Turismo was the most simulated car game I ever played to me the best ever that was back then don't know what else is out there

Did you turn on fill rosters ? Also why didn't you show other teams ? Keep in mind those rosters are filled with practice squad guys at the beginning of the preseason. So you saying why your roster has so many corners and running backs is refuted once you apply that logic. Sorry but I find it hard to believe your team wouldn't make any trades or attempt to sign free agents if you had everything set to AUTO.

CPU roster building is terrible and has been for a long, long time. It kills any CFM longevity as a solo CFM player cause my team will dominate year after year after year.
