    "On Bosch there's a nice little slit that you can align the magnet to", RIGHT AT THE MARK! Thanks from Holland!

    Great tip. I’ve been having trouble with my track bike and it would seem that the sensor and the magnet are not talking to each other no matter what I do
    Do they get dirty and cause issues?
    And last question. How difficult is it to replace the magnet that is what is required?

    Would add that carrying a spare OEM magnet with your tools in your saddle bag is a good idea also as well as a quick link for your chain and a chain tool (ebike chains get much more torque than normal mechanical bike chains and they do break.) Anyway, your magnet falls off you are pushing that heavy bike home or calling Uber (hey almost never would happen but on a trail and miles from the nearest road...)

    I thought I had to send my bike in for repair when my speedometer startet acting crazy. But after seeing this video I found that the magnet only needed to be adjusted. Thanks!

    My girlfriend's hibike sduro 2.0's speed sensor is in the right place but it's kind of off center? Kind of Twisted I guess. Should I loosen it and make sure that it's flush lined up with the sensor?

      @@FlyRidesUSA We try to keep them up as best as we can. We also went tubeless. Easy to do and better peace of mind.

    The speed sensor magnet on my electric bike is located between the rear wheel and the cadence sensor. How can I check for the speed limiter if I'm using my 48V 21ah extended range battery that makes a buzzing noise when I'm riding.

  • @calvintanner7897
    @calvintanner7897 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have a speed sensor which is located on the frame of the bike, but I'm using a 48V 21ah extended range battery. When I'm riding using this battery I hear a buzzing noise as I'm pedaling ? Am I doing something wrong when I'm riding, and if so does it have anything to do with how I'm using my PAS, and gears .I also wanted to mention that the speed cadence sensors are located on the bike frame.

    Is there a way to use a stronger magnet or move the magnet so that it gives more pedal assist?

    • @1kgStuntTeam
      @1kgStuntTeam 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No the magnet is just for registering wheel speed.

    Thank you for the video! Just one question, when not riding for some days, should I remove the button battery from the sensor? Or maybe it doesn't drain when the magnet is not turning in the wheel?

    Is there a difference if you put your sensor not in the middle of the fork? When you make the sensor higher or lower in place

    I have an issue I can't really seem to fix. History is bought my e-bike of of internet. Top speed was 30 mph. Months later e-bike was stolen and parts removed from frame. I got some parts back to get it running again after sitting weathered for about a week then got it back together. When I logged my top speed more than once it topped out at 14 mph. How can I fix speed?

  • @earthling2022
    @earthling2022 ปีที่แล้ว

    If you put the magnet closer to the centre and the sensor too, will it make a difference on the speed ? I think not .. ?

    • @DunkelblauerMB
      @DunkelblauerMB 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No, it does not affect the speed reading... 1 magnet gives 1 pulse per rotation to the sensor. With the correct wheel size (and or number of magnets = 1) set the computer reads/counts and displays 1 x wheel size circumference per pulse = X speed. So you should place it at the correct distance between the magnet and the sensor, distance from the rim doesn't change the set wheel size and number of pulses per rotation.

    Here's a great troubleshooting tip: NEVER buy a shimano steps system. I have never in my entire life come across such a bug-ridden, unreliable system. Steer well clear if you value your happiness.

    Yes, you could spend thousands of dollars on an eBike th-cam.com/users/postUgkxUiL0GnyDjP32RJdd660sP8mZk4CRLTCJ and get something much higher quality. However, if you're looking for a basic model to try out eBiking this is a great choice. The assembly is easy as far as bikes go (took about an hour for me to do, I'm not an expert). All tools needed are included. I added the plastic mud guards you see and a more comfortable seat. The other reviews are correct that you're probably going to want a better seat (Giddy Up! Bike Seat is what I got - super comfortable). The battery easily handles a 2-4 hour ride if you add some of your own pedal power. I haven't even gotten it up to top speed yet - it is very fast. Components are not top of the line, but decent for the price and work just fine. It works great on dirt roads and singletrack and pavement although too heavy to do tricks or any serious technical mountain biking. I'm looking forward to using it a lot over the summer. Tons of fun!
