Who are the rubes posting the dumb comments? JG seems sweet, humble, and blessed with music skills. You can tell that he is a hard worker. You don't get that good by accident. I love seeing him perform live. He is SO gracious to the audience and to his fellow musicians. Just wish he would perform in the Twin Cities more often. He's fantastic.
Had the pleasure of bringing Jackie to the Empire Theater in Stockon around the time this album was released. He's a very talented l, great guy, and he should have been a superstar.
Man, he messses this song up -wish I was there to help out cuz it's my fav of Jackie's songs and all those fools couldn't even a hand!!! But he's still awesome, he still wrote this masterpiece that moves me everyt time I hear it, and I am not certain why he doesn't play it very often cuz it's worth many more plays!!!!!!!!
seen you perform in williamsport Pa you opened for BBKing awesome job you are talented you sang and played well guess ya wasnt stoned then aye? loved your songs i was in awe im a harmonica player myself jammed in with 18 bands so far in the last 2 years im adding them up
cut the man some slack. he recorded that song back in '05, probably stopped playing it live around '06 or '07. that means a solid 5 to 6 years since he probably even thought about it, then someone requests it, but he can't really remember. jesus, he's only human. give him a break
Was there in Portland 2/4/11, then for your birthday bash at the Filmore 11/26, then the Trigger Hippy Show in Petaluma 11/28....looking forward to Denver 1/12...a Greenehead

you really think a male singer-songwriter who primarily plays acoustic guitar with a little bit of harmonica thrown in doesn't already know that he owes a musical debt to bob dylan?
I sure hope he doesn't think that. That would make him as stupid, as you are. Explain this debt, you speak of. Or better yet, try stating more clearly, what you really mean, by that. Does Neil Young owe Bob Dylan, as well ? Does this apply to anyone, who plays acoustic guitar and harmonica. I guess by your definition, there are a hell of alot of people out there, who owe their careers to Dylan. Should we start naming everyone we can imagine, that might have been influenced by Chuck Berry, Little Richard, The Beatles, Elvis, etc... and insult them, as well ? By the way... he does not play PRIMARILY acoustic. So, I'm guessing that you're really not very familiar with his work. And yet, you think you know enough to make an insulting remark, like that ? That pretty much makes you an ignorant, know nothing turd.
I'm glad you aren't afraid of making yourself look like a fool on the radio. Because that's exactly what you did. You look like a fool. Prepare next time.
Are you for real? That was a request from the audience and he tried to accommodate that even though he hadn’t played that song in probably 5-6 years. It is great that he was prepared to make mistakes just to be nice with an audience.
So what's with the stupid hats, fool on the radio, fool in life, not without talent just without self repect... Nothing wrong with a song stand and written words..
It's SOOO cool how he completely forgot how to play his own song and he drags on and on and apologizes for not being able to play his own fucking song. So endearing. Give me a fucking break. It's fucking embarrassing. Are you triggered? It's EMBARRASSING. Have higher standards, Jackie. Have higher standards, fans. This shit should never have been posted, let alone encouraged.
Why doesn't he do it a lot? It's by far the best song of his that I've heard.
+Ryan Doyle try ghost of promised lands
one of my favorites also!!! Love your music; so glad we found you years ago at a park in Roseville, CA!!!
Does he not play it a lot because he forgets the lyrics or does he forget the lyrics because he didn’t play it a lot
I love it, The unpredictability is what makes live music so great.
Always enjoy our local guy...from Sacramento...
My man on that good green
What a wonderful wonderful musician! Thank you Keith Richards for putting me on to him!
I found about this guy recently!!!! He is amazing!

I love it. So many times I"m about to start a song and I can't remember the first verse. I love how he handled this. And the song was really cool.
He’s so great. Had the Adam from Northern Exposure look going there. 🙂

happens to the best, and worst, of us...I do envy those who can remember all the words of all their songs, but this is the nature of the beast. :)

You guys host some real talent! I think I first found you when I was looking for Catherine MacLellan's music :)

You can see how hard his mind is working trying to remember the lyrics 😂😂😂
Gotta love JG. Dude is just real. Like to see him add at least one acoustic solo to the JGB sets.
Even screwing up the lyrics it comes out awesome.
