I have a Helix DSP Pro MK3 in my car and I want to connect the M17 in the Enhanched over ear Headphone, Analog, PO. As know, your Ultra has the 8 Volt input sensitivity, my DSP Pro MK3 4 Volt.. Is it still possible to connect the M17 if my Installer, (Alexander Maier from Speakercity in Germany., one of the best in Germany!) sets the gains properly? Or should I change to a Ultra to get the best SQ in my car by going analog out of the M17 because the difference in input sensitivity is also a important factor to SQ? My system consists of the following components: Audi A6 Avant 2024 Model, M17 Head unit, 1 x Helix c-four(Brax ML1 and ML3), 1 x Helix C-four(bridged, Helix Compose Ci7 200), Steg K2.04(Bridged, JL12w7AE Fortissimo BP), Helix DSP Pro MK3, extra Power(2 Capaciter, 2 x extra Battery…) and off course good cables of Audioquest😉. I almost bought it today until I realized it doesn't do Optical out.. It seems like the only 2 options are the po100 or the topping d10s, can't seem to find anything else that would work for an optical out to my dsp.
@@CarAudioHorizons Ah damn I actually bought an SMLS PO 100 pro last week but I won't be able to test it until next week when I get the Helix Conductor.. I wanted to test the Iphone vs the M23 for sound quality difference and was thinking on returning the dap but I may have to keep it now.
Well I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max so maybe the newer iPhones with the type C connection fair better with the SMSL PO 100 Pro but then you need the Apple Type C Camera adapter.
@@CarAudioHorizons So i been testing it with my iphone 14 pro max and I'm having the issue you were having with the Fiio m23 of songs not playing which is weird because it doesn't do it with the M23 for me and it's always the same songs that won't play some play fine some look like they are playing but no sound comes out unless i fast forward but it stops after a few seconds. EDIT: I subscribed to apple music and all the problems went away but I also got the topping d10s and it works with both apple and tidal so there must be something in tidal software that smls doesn't like..
Hey just a quick question do you use all coaxial cables instead of rca. If you use rca cables what vrand do you use? I want to go to a very similar setup with what you have.
RCA cables are for analog audio and coaxial digital cables are for digital and they are two different types of cables. I use Audioquest for my DAP and from my PAC AMP Pro.
Use topping 16 pro max Audioquest cables. Running to issue with tidal. Sample rate shown on topping is capped to 44.1 when play flac on tidal 48 96 and 192 files. No issues when using Qobuz or Apple music
@@VeneraSGF I never had any issues with Tidal in the past but I only use Apple Music now and when using my phone I always used the Apple Camera Adapter.
I recently stumbled onto your channel and have been enjoying the videos so far. Question for you, I know you are using the Mosconi amps, but have you ever thought about going with the AF amps since you have their speakers? If so, what made you purchase the Mosconi's? I just installed GB10, 25, and 60 speakers up front in my Tundra., along with GB10 and GS60 in the rear doors. I purchased a Helix DSP Ultra S and am now looking at amps. I don't have much room in my truck the DSP and amps will needs to be put under the driver and passenger seats. For that reason, I am considering the AF amps, but would love to hear your thoughts on why you went Mosconi, and if you did so over the AF amps for a particular reason as well. Thank you for your time.
@@na93prepre You will have a great system if the install and tune are on point. I went with the Mosconi AS amps for a few reasons. The first being I had the AS200.2 already which I knew I was going to use with my Audio Frog GB60’s as I want plenty of headroom as it’s slightly over 200w RMS at 4ohm. But what sealed the deal is the distributor for Mosconi at the time where I live in Edmonton was changing brands so they sold their remaining brand new stock at like 1/4 of the price. So I picked up the AS100.4 and 300.2 dirt cheap, I believe $350 for the AS100.4 and $450 for the AS300.2 Canadian dollars. The AS300.2 is perfect for subs as it’s 1800 plus watts at 2ohms which is more than enough for me. I was also going to get a Mosconi Zero 4 but they sold the last two the day I bought the 300.2. I still might get one as I need two more channels or more if I do mids and an upfront sub. The Mosconi AS are AB amps and I prefer the sound of them over anything class D. Looks wise the only amps I like better are the Mosconi Pros. Zapco AP amps are nice looking as well and I almost went with them but their six channel has slight less power. The Mosconi Pro 4/30 class A/AB is the best amplifier I have heard to date but it ain’t cheap! So to sum it all up Class AB, Lots of power and I like the looks of them and they have been in lots of cars in the past that have many sound quality competitions. I won the competition I went to and had the second highest score in Canada at a MECA event two years ago and actually beat everyone including the Focal Rep that was using the Mosconi Zero amps and had the Focal Utopia M three way. I scored an 82.5 for SQ but that’s because I have a really good tune.

@na93prepre I was first overall in the competition but second in Canada for the year for all classes score wise. The guy that had the most points was in Master Class out of Ontario. Thats why I always get a kick out people saying brand x is better than brand z. It’s all about the tune and install and always will be. It’s like Audio Frog GB speakers can sound like ass if the install and tune are messed up, just like any other brand.
I'm wondering did you ending up keeping the fiio m23? I really want to get the fiio m23 or xd05 pro hard to decide. Mainly use for little desktop and car audio.

@@BK101BK I would have suggested the SMSL PO 100 Pro but I just started having issues with it since the IOS 18 update. Now it’s pretty much unusable
