I use a 1 1/4 screw and then I match the drill bit to the size of the center of the screw to pre drill and Rin a counter sink bit that way the screw head sits flush.
@@snakeguy86 They don't sell it in sheets, at least not that I've seen. I'm planning on building one, would you suggest plywood or melamine?... or something else?
Redstrom Reptiles I'm using some of your ideas for a " hot tank " for 2 Diamondback rattlesnakes 10'L (120"inches ) 2'8" H (32 inches) 2'10"D ( 34 inches) thanks for the videos!😁
what do u use to seal everything and the cracks to prevent moisture damage? do you think an 8ft would be too heavy/large to build a short stand for it to store things underneath?
thank you for the quick reply I'm sure ill be asking more questions once i actually start the build hopefully next wk ! Thank you for making these videos they have been the most descriptive ones, very helpful!!
Hey my name's Jeff I reached out to you guys a while ago you gave me some good feedback I got to know where did you get that plastic tracking I've been watching you and building my cages the same way I breed boas, reticulated pythons, Burmese I've been building most my cages with PVC way too expensive I really appreciate you guys hope to hear back
What are the dimensions of the boards in the front of the cage?
Your enclosures are impressive. Well done job.
No Face thank you.
what exactly should i use to pre drill screw holes??? and any screw works?
I use a 1 1/4 screw and then I match the drill bit to the size of the center of the screw to pre drill and Rin a counter sink bit that way the screw head sits flush.
Do you need 4 vents in a 8 foot enclosure?
No u do not need that many I mostly just have 2 on some of the cages
Thanks ! We are building one I wasn’t for sure about the vents or were to put them.
how does it do with moisture? could you please do the update video on this tegu enclosure?
Bob Patterson I can do good with some moisture but make sure u seal it good and I don't have it made it for a friend but she says it's still nice.
In your opinion, what's the best material to build snake enclosures out of?
I would say PVC cages are best but it is expensive where we live
@@snakeguy86 They don't sell it in sheets, at least not that I've seen. I'm planning on building one, would you suggest plywood or melamine?... or something else?
I say Melanie is the way to go my cages are still holding up good and easier to seal up then plywood.
@@snakeguy86 Do you need to waterproof other than the seams?
Really Nice, looks good brotha.
ES Reptiles thank you I am really happy how it turned out

How much did this whole build cost
I think it was a little under 200 for everything.
Thanks
Do u let the liquid nail dry before pre drilling and screwing??
No I don't let it dry I glue it and then get the screws in that way they act as the clamp to hold it together.
Great ty! It should be fine sitting right on floor right or should I get wheels for under it?
Will be fine on the floor my tagu cage is on the floor the castor's just make them easier to move if u need to.
James going to be building my own this weekend ... going to be using your video ... very helpful thank you😎
Trinolin Pillay right on that's good the cage is a fun build and thank you.
Does humidity create rotting?
No I haven't had that problem but u don't want water sitting for long periods of time on the milmine
Another great job James 👍👍👍
Ferla's Ballpython Morphs thank you glad u like the video.
what do u use to seal everything and the cracks to prevent moisture damage? do you think an 8ft would be too heavy/large to build a short stand for it to store things underneath?
Redboa23 I use silicone or caulking but the silicone works way better. And for a stand u can make a good sturdy stand to hold the weight of it.
thank you for the quick reply I'm sure ill be asking more questions once i actually start the build hopefully next wk ! Thank you for making these videos they have been the most descriptive ones, very helpful!!
Redboa23 thank you I am happy I can help and my videos help and any question I can answer.

Branpa_ I am not to sure what the size was I built it for a client and they had measurements all ready on the size they needed.
does a tegu need so much room?
Earl Redstrom yes full grown adults there cages are 8x4x4 so a very big cage.
Why do some people sound like they're asking a question whenever they say anything at all?
Hey my name's Jeff I reached out to you guys a while ago you gave me some good feedback I got to know where did you get that plastic tracking I've been watching you and building my cages the same way I breed boas, reticulated pythons, Burmese I've been building most my cages with PVC way too expensive I really appreciate you guys hope to hear back
