You are so amazing :) first I want to say good luck on your go Snd stuff. I pray things go great. And don’t worry about needing to like push videos for monsta x like all at once. You won’t really have an issue with us monbebe. We are extremely respectful and we understand :) and also about French Montana rap we love the song but we don’t really love his rap in the song much either. We think monsta x could of done just fine without that collab plus he did something that didn’t sit well with us at all. Thank you so much for this reaction to them again. The way Monsta X physically CANNOT make a bad song-
FACTS........
Wonho left the group in late 2019, during their 'Follow' comeback promotions, in October 31st. The group had to learn his parts and cover up for him within one day (plus pretend he had never been there in the first place, because they were no longer allowed to mention him ever again) and keep competing in the music shows. Easily the most traumatizing comeback for me to witness, and makes Follow era a really painful one, although the entire album and its concept was a carefully curated masterpiece and could have been one of their best sellers. They did win one award for it, but you could tell that meant nothing for them because they were still missing Wonho. Some of the members got hospitalized because of stress and anxiety afterwards. So yeah, a dark time for Monsta X, but they came out of the other end and have slowly built they way to the top again, and so has Wonho, so all is well now. Or, relatively well anyway, I mean their company still loves to pretend Wonho was never a part of the group so. That will never be okay in my book, but at least I know they are all doing what they love and being successful while at it, so...
Hi! I'm a new fan of monsta x and I know wonho is no longer part of the group... I've tried looking up what exactly happened but can't seem to really understand why he had to leave. Could someone please explain?
@@PriyaRanjan613 I think he left the group because he don’t want the boys to get involved and cause harm to them because he was accused of using drugs but was later on confirmed that he never touch or use drugs.
My personal opinion is that starship keeps them seperate because some fans are twisted that many times the guys HAD to apologise because they hung out with wonho in their own personal time. I don't really like that but hey the company has to do what they can right now to protect their artists. Btw I'm not saying that starship never screwed up or anything but yeah they're always two sides of a coin. I'm in no way defending starship. The guys deserve so much better.
@@katieK1103 Starship was the one making them apologize. They are not forced to apologize to a few crazy antifans whose existence wouldn't matter to them either way. It's just that SSE tries to lick the boots of every and anybody who could technically buy an album or two and therefore fund the company's shareholders.

See, French Baguette (you know who I am talking about) is generally disliked by all Monbebes because when he performed live with Monsta X, he was drunk and kept forgetting his lines and messed up the whole show. He was extremely disrespectful and the boys were furious with him (you might see some video clips from the live, see I.M's face in particular), because it was obvious that he didn't care about Monsta X and didn't want to be on the stage with them. Anyway it was planned for I.M to not have many parts so that he could take over the rapping part whenever Baguette wasn't present himself.

@@katieK1103 I mean sure it is, they are the only pop group I have spent my money on these past six years, and one of the only ones I have seen perform live several times. To see them getting sc*ewed this hard for no reason whatsoever struck a nerve or two. But luckily I'm not the only one, most of the fandom and MX members themselves feel that way too. MX has not really mentioned SSE by name since then, unlike before, when they always thanked them for everything. :)
@@luskaneseprince they deserve better. MUCH BETTER. My journey with monsta x started when wonho left during follow era. So it really took me some time to know what happened. Really saddened by what happened but I love all of them despite everything. Ot7 y'all

The song on it's own is a masterpiece without Frenchie...it's unfortunate they had to collaborate with an unprofessional.
"IM will not be my bias" was my mantra when getting to know monsta x also. LOL. It ended up being Honey and Minhyuk in the end, but IM still comes for me every single day.

THIS ALBUM WAS REALLY THE ALBUM BUT THE DREAMING IS A LEVEL HIGHER.
Also, IM did not get a lot of singing parts in AAL, but he has a lot in the new album The Dreaming and he is amazing!
Girlie, have the biggest fun meeting them later in Feb! I never went to their concerts live, but I did buy their concert album, and BOY THAT ALONE MADE ME HYPED SO HARD!

I’m like three songs in but this is flashing me back to the pre-release of this album. Their texting service sent us quotes from the song so daily we were getting things like ‘you make me crazy it’s not just the wine’ in our texts for like 11 days.

I freaking love Monsta X's english tracks, theyre weirdly comforting
The stars were truly aligned for Monsta X during their time as OT7. I'm convinced that the universe meant for them to sing together as a group 😄. I also think that's the reason their individual voices shine so much, even more so than when they sing solo (like what you were saying about Wonho). Their line distributions are always so good and are really meant to bring out the best from each member, even though they all have very different timbres and styles of singing. As for Wonho, I feel like, in his solo work, he sings a lot with his falsetto, while with Monsta X you can really hear the fuller range of his voice.
You vibing with the biggest smile sparks so much joy, you’re literally the cutest. I’m glad you love AAL. They’ve taken it up a few (read: many many many) notches with The Dreaming. You won’t know what hit you. Looking forward to your reactions :)

the whole album was recorded when wonho was still in mx! he left in oct '19 and aal was released early '20 i think but everything was already recorded so hes in it!!

Wonho left October 31, 2019 and was fired November 1, 2019. A sad time for us but he bounced back and is still killing it. The album was elite and the fact that it didn’t get billboards top 5 is beyond me. Love this album.

Monsta x was in New York for the promotion of this album before Covid, in February of 2020. I had skipped my last class to go see them and I remember it so well.
Jeff Benjamin was interviewing them and had asked what the lyrics “I really really wanna love you, but I can’t say the word I want to” and minhyuk (the second oldest w/o wh) said he doesn’t know or he can’t say or smth like that, I think he said “I’m a teenager so I can’t say” 😂 he said the same thing at the 2019 concert when kihyun asked him to sing “you so fucking precious when you smile” and so I.M (the maknae) stepped in. He was like cmon guys we’re at a bar you should know what it means (we were in Chelsea Music Hall which is basically a bar) and we were screaming for him to say it lol he them mouthed the word “fuck” 😂😂
