    I want that PVC Cutter O.o Coolest thing ever.
    And the pond is coming along excellent. I seen the "almost done" pic of it. Superb job as always. You and your team are experts in their trade without a doubt. Thanks for the videos, and the effort you put into them!

    I have the Helix skimmer and read in Bottom Drain Technology that the bottom drain can be plumbed to a settling chamber, a settlement tank, a skimmer, or sieve filter, but can not find video or information on how to do connect it.

    Two questions: why did you upscale the air pipe if its longer distance? The sediment filter and skimmer are both in ground, how does it pump up to the waterfall area? Thanks for the videos btw, best out there

    I am an avid fan. I'm a little nervous about putting in a bottom drain. What is the name of your drain and do you have an opinion about the Spindrifter, because I noticed they are fairly different. They both seem to have advantages but I like the materials used in yours as far as durability.

    question about air line if I am only going 15' should I go up to 3/4 or just run 1/2 from bottom drain to air pump thanks Mike

    I have a question. First off love your videos. Lots of help. I'm building my pond. Had a budget of $2k. I'm already over that. LOL I was thinking of running a 2" pipe 4'-6' a long the bottom of the deep end of my pond with a few holes drilled in it for my intake. To save money on a bottom drain. Good idea? Thoughts? Thanks.

      Ron Yelenich Ron you are tapping into a different type of pond construction that we do in fact teach and promote. The the answer to your question is Yes & No!!! I suggest that you visit the helixlifesupport .com website and down load the Helix Life Support Pond Design Guide to review the different construction styles and you will see the suction grid philosophy. Best of luck to you on your pond build!

    I am about to build a 15x8x5 (feet) pond, a one 3" Bottom drain would suffice? The bottom design is a V-Slope.

      Patrick Sarmiento I would say yes. Rosemary's pond is bigger than that with one drain. We are walking the line but it is working wonderfully.

    Why do you up size the aeration pipe? I'm thinking its more volume you have to pressurize.

    • @ThePondDigger
      @ThePondDigger  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +lizzardlife The pressure builds with the pipe is filled with air. I upside because of the length of pipe we had in the run. Great question.

    How long did this project took?

    • @ThePondDigger
      @ThePondDigger  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      FastestCores This project took us approximately 6 months to complete because of filming. We only filmed on the weekends and filmed every little detail. A project this size will typically take our crew 5 to 10 days to build.

      ThePondDigger How do you connect the other end of the air diffuser' s small pipe?

  • @griggauk5834
    @griggauk5834 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    You should never use flexible pipe in to solid upvc fitting, flexible pipe must be fitted to the outside of a union and clamped.

    If you ever want to build a 1.5 story indoor pond in Ohio, HMU! My remodeling contractors are unsure of how to proceed and we've been looking for a tank and a pond expert to collaborate with. Think floor to ceiling aquarium in the basement coming up through the main floor to about waist/chest high. It'd make a good video and most of em are rescue fish lol!
