This was one of the best explanations that I've found for rotating. I have a friend who is trying to teach us the shooter, passer and support method and I found that confusing and the reason why it is confusing is just what you said about what does this guy and that guy do if this happens? Your 1, 2, and 3 method is a lot easier to understand and if you eventually use this rotating method in the higher ranks, then I'd rather learn that method now and your examples proved that. The "Insights from a GC" video dives a little deeper into some of those positioning things too with the rotation, so feel free to take a browse through some of the other videos :) ...the 1/2/3 rotation will feel a little strange at first, but once you get a rhythm down (especially with a team), I can't imagine playing any other way because your decisions and general gameplay will feel so much faster. One tip as you get used to it: As that 1 player, it's super important to rotate out of the play once you're done. When you hang around too long, it slows everything down. Just trust that your 2 is reading the play correctly and is going to be on the ball, rotate out and keep your TEAM momentum alive. Good luck!!

FINALLY!! This explanation is very useful for any rank! If you want to understand rotations better.... WATCH THIS video! Also the only thing I'm missing in this vid is (especially for lower ranks... let's say lower Diamonds and below) trusting your team mate in front of you means to not double commit. I see this especially during the defense when the ball (+eventually most players on the field) ends up getting stuck and pilled up into one corner. Don't commit until your team mate is done and your spot is being filled also. Thanks for the amazing clear guide!
