I think, and it's just thinking in the 2nd match VK's shoes, capping the base may be my choice too. I know I'm too slow to catch T57, so I cannot run around the map. Then my best hope is to force T57 to me, by capping the base. He is trying to choose the least bad in a really terrible situation. Like you said, VK is too high to have complete cover in base, so again hopeless situation. But I don't think VK has any other better course of actions in the end game.

Thanks for showing my replay (CrazyFingers). It was my second battle ever in the T77. A shame the replay was that bugged. Maybe because i'm playing via Steam?

Autoloaders have taught me to clip and move (either to another spot or back into cover) better than any other mechanic in the game.
Which has improved the win rate.

T77 is the best tier 8 heavy.
The T77, Bourrasque, and Chimera are consistently OP and at the top of tier 8 charts

t77 need smartly playing ! load time is a risk factor ,so its means in close fight the player must keep allways in hes mind the load time.better fight closer with team friends then singel fight . its to risky ! thats it !

If I was the VK, I would’ve been sidescraping, he might have HE, but the VK has very thick armor and hard to HE. next time he tries to poke he would get hit.

If he sidescraped, i would have just rushed him anyway, trade two shots for one and hopefully be gone into cover before he reloaded 😉
