OK I may have missed it but they do mention the stomata. Those are pores mainly on the under side of plant leaves that open in early morning before the sun gets high. Mainly before 9am the earlier the better for foliar spray. Otherwise you would be wasting your time, mid afternoon they are closed so do what you will with that info. I like to liquid seaweed to my worm tea and it adds something like 70 minerals.

U won't be wasting your time, although absorption will be limited if sprayed during the day, until the next morning when the dew rehydrates the solution and it feeds the next day, think outside the box, happy gardening.

You can also add about 1-2 drops of humic acid per gallon to neutralize any chlorine or chloramine.

I'm having a very bad white fly ( fungus fly) problem in my out patio plants. I bought a plant from a store and now my succulent's are infested IV bought Neem pure oil I mix with pure water and mix and spray on the plants and soil since Oct 2020 it's June I'm really tired of fighting these bugs...I'm 60 yr lady..I don't know how to rid them...I even emptied them out put the old soul in a plastic bag and climped it ..put it in the sun..and replanted with fresh soil..and they came Back...I don't want to use pesticides...I heard of dawn soap and vinager but I haven't used it 😲🌻🌼☀️ blessings..sorry it's late insomniac 😟

Neem oil with a few drops of dawn dish soap helps a ton. Buy those yellow sticky traps they sell at walmart or garden stores. It will get rid of the problem over time. Have to keep up the fight tho dont let them take over

Probably always a good idea to just let the chlorine gas out over 24 hours but really, depending on where you live, the chlorine levels once it comes out the sprayer or faucet, it's already being exposed to air & studies have shown that in certain regions in the US and most of Canada don't have enough chlorine to completely decimate bacteria populations in soil or in that canister of tea. It's meant for closed pipe systems and the further you live from the treatment plants, the less supply of chlorine you'll have in your water. Plus it's safe to drink immediately and the bacteria populations killed in soil kill usually build right back up quickly unless it was an intense concentration like it pools or treatment plants

I came here looking for info on exactly this. There is so much hysteria and so many opinions presented as facts about chlorine that I want to get to the bottom of it. Filling up buckets of water and having them sit a day is a lot of inconvenience and wasted effort over a lifetime if it doesn’t add value. I don’t worry about it from watering my garden but when it comes to making & diluting worm tea I’d like to be more certain.

I forget the channel I saw it on, but if add Vitamin C powder to your water it acts the same as those tablets and breaks up the Chloramine into it's constituent parts (Chlorine and Ammonia) so that they can then off gas normally. The person put a very small amount of powder into his water, so you don't need much.

I'm new to gardening and have watched a lot of you tube videos. now I used a weelie bin to make compost and after a while I thought I'd better make a gateway in the bin to be able to shovel it out, so I drilled a hole in the bin and it started to leak this brown liquid that I now know was leachate. I tried to catch it in a bucket but a lot of it leaked onto my lawn I was worried it might burn the lawn but it's turned the lawn much greener now I'm trying to make more so I can do the rest of the lawn.
