Hesitant to watch this as I didn't want to spoil next months box, but it was handled well and I appreciated the spoiler warning (which I ignored :P ). Even so, the sneak peek just made me look forward to next months box. It was nice to see the "behind the scenes" of how MakerBox is made and I'm happy to see a 3DPN getting involved.

I admire the effort these guys go to to get these samples out to people like me. Thank you for your service. Here in Australia, these samples will attract a sh*tload of tax to prop up our corrupt regime. Makes it pretty much out of the reach of hobbyists like me. Love these videos Joel. Thank you so much.

This could be fun, but I have a Divinci Mini W+ and cannot use 3rd party filament whomp whomp lol.
I do enjoy the printer though works well and was a super easy plug and go.

Joel! I'd love to see a comparo of low cost realistic 3d printers. You know something the average guy could buy and use like in the 150 to 300 or maybe even 500 dollar range. Also I'd love to see perhaps some reviews of like kit printers where you build the 3d printer from readily available parts or from parts supplied with the kit.
So I couldnt see if the "fill" filaments were in the easy box. I've had the explorer box for well a very long time(almost 2 years). I like the fun stuff like the fills, but I have carbon fiber filament and stuff like nylon coming out of my ears at this point. I would love to see a box with like half PLA colors and half fills. Something like an appearance pack. Or even just a option to add the fill filament to the easy box for extra $

This seems like a great idea. I just wish that someone on the market would make a nice easy to use filament splicer. It would make it easier to make full use of the makerbox.
I've been talking about that with my engineer friend. But we both feel the effort it would take wouldn't pay off due to things like the prusa mmu that does it automatically
Could have a separate makerbox and engineerbox. One with wild PLA colors and flavors, and the other with hardcore engineering materials. Edit: I literally posted this moments before he mentioned the easy box
Once I get my Snapmaker 2.0, I have 2 things that I’m already looking at 1) Mosaic Pallet 2, and 2) Makerbox. 🤪

Is the curated Explorer non-abrasive PLA only or exotic stuff as well?
I have never heard about this. If the printer I want ever comes back in stock I am going to sign up. Does anyone know if Joel's code still works/gives him credit for the subscription?

They should make it where you can just buy 1 box with no subscription!
I think the people that would need the peek and ultem would have the budget for a spool to work out how to use it.

Ah man. I was all over this. 50grams? :/ 50? I'd waste that on fails and supports. (50?!) I just imagined 1kg for some reason. I know that's probably ridiculous but i would've been all over that! I might need to start making some money of this printer thing before i can use this service. It is a cool idea 2bf. But of no use to me atm at that price for that sample size.

Does the 3dpn box have to be the explorer box or will it be included with the easy box as well?
I believe the code works for any box first month - email Makerbox just to make sure.

I actually just bought something from Printed Solid last night at midnight, and they gave it over to USPS this morning (not just generate a label, it's already moving in USPS). Talk about fast shipping! (meanwhile my Makergeeks order from October hasn't shipped yet.)
About how much materials you get per spool? Interested in this program but I need to do a calculation how much materials your get per your order?

Hi I could do with your help. Could you ask people if they bought any printers or electrical things on the Alliexpress 11-11 or black friday DEALS. I bought a TEVO Flash for £278.00 which was very cheap then straight after they emailed me to say there were non in stock and would i please cancel and under reason just put OTHER not the real reason that there was no stock. I just got a great deal on an electric bike and 25mins after they took my money they did the same again. Could you ask your veiwers if they have had the same thing happen or just me cheers Tim

I'm sad too. There's still people who's ignorance gets in the way of what reality is. This is called a tour not a commercial.
Okay, so the difference is...
This is his livelihood now. He quite literally lives off of the internet (as far as I know). Joel comes off as a very honest, energetic, hard-working creator who wouldn't let a fat stack of cash tarnish his reputation in the community, like some creators. And besides, an ad or two every now and then is not really a burden. Quite frankly, it is a pleasure to see them because word of mouth and personal recommendations are exceptionally valuable in this industry, in its current state.
@@3DPrintingNerd I like these sponsored videos based on 3d print stuff, because I get to see all sorts of behind the scenes things, some of which I didn't know was going on. Like how there is a whole community of 3d print nerf mods going on that I didn't even think about, or the palette multi-materiel setup which is getting 3d printing closer to the convince of 2d printing.
