These days, S.H.I.E.L.D. stands for "Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division," but it previously also stood for "Strategic Hazard Intervention Espionage Logistics Directorate" and, originally, "Supreme Headquarters, International Espionage, Law-Enforcement Division." But most of all, it stands for the fact that spy agencies with acronym names were really cool in the mid-1960s when S.H.I.E.L.D. made its comic book debut.
Or, as Grant noted, somebody was trying too hard to make the acronym work. 😂
Saved me typing all that, mainly I only remembered because I have it on a s.h.i.e.l.d logo t-shirt.
The helmet works on her, but honestly, they should have included a helmet too. Or made it a 2 Pack with another female body and two helmets
The original name for S.H.I.E.L.D. is Supreme Headquarters International Espionage and Law-Enforcement Division. Then it was Strategic Hazard Intervention Espionage Logistics Directorate before changing to Strategic Homeland Intervention Enforcement and Logistics Division. Now I love how this looks and I think I can make the helmet work on this body. I am buying three because I will have a few other female shield agents show up. On the shelf. I may try to get one more and do some pint to it . Thanks for the awesome review
I can see Hasbro doing a slight retool on the torso so the top zips all the way up the neck and doing a female SHIELD agent troop builder. It would be easy to adapt to make a female Hydra agent as well.
I think the helmets work--like you said, they should be bigger than the actual head on the figure. I think the main issue is the exposed neck, which isn't usually isn't the case when someone suits up with the helmet as part of the outfit. If you think of them as helmets they had to put on for protection at a moment's notice, though, I think that's a rational enough explanation to make them okay for displaying.
I also plan on using the spare quake head on my Spider-Girl figure, as I think it makes for a pretty good Mayday head.
IMO, the helmet looks fine to me
When I look at those headsculpts I think about getting some spare Lady Jaye’s Dan and adding the heads to those bodies for some custom Joes

Hey Dan 👋, there actually was another dual Maria Hill & Sharon Carter figure that came in a 2 Pack with an Iron Man figure which was a Toys R Us exclusive a few years back. I have the figures.
Yep, to be honest I have that in the bottom of a box somewhere, I might see if the Sharon Carter head from that pack works on this body
I love getting major B list heroes and supporting characters like Quake and Hill, because it's nice to fill in gaps in your collection that you didn't think would be filled. When Dan talks about the 3-D printing, I'd pay good money for an accessory pack of new 3D printed heads of Sharon Carter, Misty Knight, Odinson, Captain Marvel, and any other character from those early days with faces that look like they're shiny and melting. I mean if they aren't going to reissue them give us a new face sculpt cause I don't like costumes.
I was hoping you would try the Grey suit Black Widow head. The jetpack would work great with this figure

The newer Shield Agent helmets don't look too bad on Quake/ Hill.
Great figs! I’ve ordered six. I have the old Maria Hill. I’ll have to figure out which I like best. The helmets work ok. I have such a big SHIELD army from collecting all these years. I’m up to 39 agents of various sources and types. These new ones are great. Should have had a holster. Crazy. Nice review.
I think the helmets look great on the females too! Wow, didn't expect that. Now I'm thinking I need more than 2.
I think the helmets look fine. They are a little big but like you said in real life helmets look big on people.
Not going to lie, The Quake and Maria Hill figure will definitely work as standard female Marvel Legends SHIELD agents and go great with the male SHIELD army builders, Since I don't army build, The only figure might get is the Alex Ross Ironman figure for my Ironman armory, As always great review Dan.

I want more special detailing and sculpt for female characters since we pay just as much for them as the male ones. Any unique boots, gloves, chest pieces, and etc that would benefit from sculpting like that old Shuri from the 2 pack, it would have been nice for her rope-looking boots to have been sculpted or Captain Marvel from the All-Father wave should have gotten a sculpted chest piece with her symbol.

I was really hoping Sharon Carter would work. Wanted to change her up with this.
Right now I have 2 ordered, but I plan on eventually having about 10. I have numerous female heads to make female agents with. I have 5 female SHIELD Agents already as I have 3 older Maria Hill bodies and 2 older Sharon Carter bodies. So I have Maria in blue uniform, Sharon Carter in white SHIELD Uniform, I headswapped an Asian head on the other Sharon Carter body to fudge an Agent Melinda May. And I also put different female heads on the 2 spare Maria bodies. Right now my SHIELD is;

I did have Union Jack and Captain Britain in here but I am now fudging a British Super Group called United Kingdom. Also, split some heroes off to make a Silver Sable Wild Pack. Nowhere to put Eternals except Sersi in the Avengers, so I throw them in various teams. Yes, I used Xialing and 3 Asian heads to make the 4 fictional book and movie Daughters of Fu Manchu. I have also made 9 Evil Black Widows for my Winter Guard.
Pre-ordered Two. Might get a third. Excellent showing on the alternative helmet heads. Totally work.

Great review! The helmets work. It's how a person wearing a helmet would actually look.
This is where Hasbro kicks me in the tenders every single time. Anticipating a Maria Hill to complete my SHIELD team I pre-ordered right away, yet recently I have had concerns over Hasbro's capability to provide me quality products based on my requirements worth my $$$. And then they go and do something like this. Not only a character(s) requested but design work that makes it look like a perfect match with the male agents. I have been waiting for Big G to arrive, but to be honest I cannot wait for this one now. Curious to know if anyone can answer why the males came with helmets, yet the ladies didn't? Asking for a friend.
I believe it's due to the packaging. The shield agents came in the "eco friendly" box packaging and as a troop builder. While these came in the normal packaging and provided multiple hands and two heads already. At least that's my thought on it. I pre ordered 3 of these to troop build as well.

I think the silver visor one works well, the lack of pant on the bottom half makes it appear more shadowed and less bulky.
This review convinced me to buy a second one, especially since it's about $10 off at Amazon Canada today. I'll have Commander Rogers in the center. I'm not sure if they all worked together like that in the comics, but they're all Shield. Just gonna have to get the 3pk with Nick Fury, Sharon, and Dum dum.
Is there anyone else I'm missing, aside from army building agents?

The helmets look fine to me. I would want a Malinda May head, but Mando’s Fennic is hitting shelves now, too.
I have the older 2pk, and I still swear the one head is Kerri Kenny from The State and Reno911. Falcada knows her from UCB, so it’s not that big of a stretch.
I was thinking about swapping the feet with F4 Sue to give them some tread boots.

The helmet with the silver visor looks great i think. Could be a bit lower but not bad at all. Love this figure can't wait to get mine.
The Sharon Carter figure I believe is the exact same as the MCU figure version of Maria Hill. but in white.

I would've preferred one set of white hands and then a set of fist hands for the gauntlets. But I won't complain too much--It looks like a great set either way.

I think they should've included some fisted hands or a relaxed gesture for them both instead of the spellcasting ones.
Maria Hill comic version was released many years ago in a two pack with iron man. Do your homework.

Hasbro did a great job of missing the zip section at the lower torso, the suit zip should be from neck down to the belt
