DIY Ceiling Fan Makeover

  • I wasn’t sure what I was going for - all I knew is that the vintage gold color had to go. I enjoyed the process of this project because it was something I wanted to do for a long time! A few simple tools and your fan can be freshened up too! The following items is all I needed:
    1. Screw driver
    2. Bucket of soapy water
    + Vinegar and baking soda
    3. Tooth brush and cloth
    4. Acrylic paint (dilute with water)
    5. Spray bottle is optional
    6. Black spray paint
    7. Large Paint Brush
    8. Painters tape

    How much does it wobble now due to the uneven weight of the added paint to the fan blades? Every video I watch on this subject almost none show it in operation after...??? Pretty certain its because they wobble. GOOD fans are supplied with fan blades that are within a few grams of each other in weight to mitigate wobbling.

      AsphaltSquadron hi there! The fan ran completely normal. I added very little paint so maybe the amount of dust removed took care of the unevenness haha
