In modern days, everyone confused about the word 'Guru.'
We consider everyone as Guru out of obliviousness.
What Sri Sri Sri Acharya Prabodhananda Yogeeswarlu saying is,
A Guru exists on earth in thousands or hundreds of thousands of years.
Other than such Guru, no one on earth consider as Guru.
Guru visit earth as needed in thousands or hundreds of thousands of years or more.
Why he takes that long, and why doesn't he visit often?
He visits when the earth needs him.
What kind of need is that?
When Dharmam/Divine Edicts lose its power and Adharmam/false Divine Edicts increase,
When no one aware of real Divine Edicts but everyone practices false Divine Edicts,
Guru correct false Divine edicts/Adharmam, and
Guru differentiates Dharmam from Adharmas.
Guru would tell to get rid of the Adharma and practice the Dharmam.
