    I've never been disappointed that much with a specific system of elevators.
    I have so much to rant about these elevators at the Airbnb I stayed at while I was in Toronto. My rant is not just from this video, but from my stay in the condo as a whole.
    They take centuries to come with no indication of the car that's coming, the leveling takes five million eternities to level on all the cars, these are busy as heck and smaller than needed, and the elevator lobby on the ground floor is tiny, but the smart card system is a hell of a joke.
    Let's talk about their stupid *ss smart card system. I had to climb 19 f%$^ing floors to even start on the top floor to get a half decent (or crappy in this case) video because my key only allows me to go to 48 and M and I was absolutely exhausted from climbing those, but hey, got some exercise. In reality, I was miserable from the exhaustion. The boarding of the elevator in the lobby is one helluva nightmare from the excessive bottlenecks waiting for people to have to tap their own keys rather than the management choosing the much better system of having one person taping their key and allowing people to choose their own floors. I even asked various residents from here and they all said the smart key system here is pure garbage. I could not even access the low rise cars because of how draconian their system is. I could only get this mediocre take due to their system.
    Being honest, the other two sets of elevators here (parking and one other one) were pretty crappy too. I've even heard in an Elevator World article that Toronto has issues with elevator traffic in condos. The average ratio of elevators in condos in Toronto are 1 elevator per 164 units.
    Please note that any comments releasing the location of the premises or captain obvious type comments (like "they smart key these for security reasons" or whatever) will be removed and flushed down the toilet depicted in my video. I have this disclaimer here and the one in my video for civility purposes since keycarding elevators I feel like is politics in the TH-cam elevator community.
    If you want to start the video without seeing the boring disclaimer scene, skip to 0:26

    Some elevator info:
    Review of the elevator(s):

    Other notes:
    - Improvements needed: still keep the key system, but don't make them smart keyed
    - Filming risk: damn near impossible unless you are a resident
    - Additional notes: n/a

    Wow, you're right, it is a crappy system, and what you showed in the beginning was amazing, it had a great flush too, overall what a way to ruin an elevator system, and you're right about the elevator bank and the elevator cabs being small. I'm just at a loss for words about this, but they're good elevators at least.

      These would've probably been in my top five elevators of 2024 had these not been smart keyed or ruined by high traffic

      @@dmvelevatorsandmore Yeah they would've been and Thyssenkrupp Northern elevators are very cool, both great companies. Oh and btw, i know it's off topic but the toilet at the beginning, was it a Kohler Kingston or a regular Kohler? It's ok if you don't know, btw, luv the cabs, too bad there are only 2 on this bank.

      @@harrisonaparin244 I'm not that well experienced with their older toilets. Kingston Ultra is their wall hung commercial model. It's a rarer 2000's floor mounted siphon jet model that I'm not sure what it's called

    Nice Dewhurst US100 buttons. This elevator always looks fairly new. I think these are a newer TKE Northern. I think these are still installed until up to this day (now I know the older version of this elevator is now in obsolescence phase) they had to pull their TIME MRL off the market. Somebody has gotten stuck in these elevators before. And they accused the emergency phone operator of not getting an elevator technician to come out and open the elevator doors because obviously the elevator would not go anywhere, it shut down.

      They definitely look like they were installed within the last five years. Sucks someone got trapped on these
