Hello! My name is Jon, and I'm from Norway. I have lived in Bujumbura off and on for the past five years, because my wife is Burundian. Now however, I'm back in Norway again with my wife, for good, but Burundi has made quite an impression on me over the past years, I miss it, and I recognize a lot of the places that you cover. Your videos are absolutely fantastic, because by cycling you get the ambiance, the sounds, and you would not have gotten all that if you had traveled by car or motorcycle (so please don't do that) - I really have the sensation that I am there with you! So, from now on, I'm going to subscribe, and I'm going to share your videos with all my Burundian friends here in Norway. Thank you and God bless you!
I am extremely humbled and joyous that you came across my channel and found comfort in my videos. This motivates me in so many ways. As far as a car is concerned, not to worry, it's completely out of the equation. As for a motorcycle, I only plan to use one for long distances, and upon reaching the destination, I will switch back to the bicycle at all times for further exploration. Greating to your wife and family. Stay blessed Jon.
@@NotSoBurundian Thank you again! I just want to say that I am very conscious about not interrupting the ads (I had no idea how this affected you, until you made me aware of it). Keeping my eyes skinned for places I used to live (Avenue Bututsi 27 in Rohero 2, Kyiege near the US Embassy and various other places in Kigobe, and last but not least, Uwinterekwa in Gihosha where we have built a house), but I do see lots of places that I have very fond memories of.
OMG,I don't sleep anymore, unless I watch your video again and again it's been 20 years since I left Burundi, I can't wait to come back, a lots has changed, thank you so much for your sacrifice

Ha. I appreciate you taking a liking to this video Ali. And thank you for your kind words. Hopefully there's enough time for me to explore Jabe before the 11th. 😅 Welcome to the channel. 🇧🇮👊🏾
I live here, nice video. Just few corrections will need to be done about avenues. Drainage water are made like that for reducing the speed of cars and limits kids accidents because many play in the road.
Hey. You watch my videos from here? That's a surprise! I'm glad you're a part of the channel. If the drainage was constructed for that reason then that's the most thoughtful thing I've ever heard off coming from the municipal on road constructions. 👏🏾
I miss home Buja, it been 13 years since I left my family and home town, I use to live Nyakabiga 2 8 av. Born in Jabe grow up in Bwiza… Feel like crying 😢 Bujumbura I miss you
Merci
