    The way this movie is shot is unlike anything I've seen. So many movies try to obscure the action with night scenes and shaky cam and fast switches. The camera in this is like "NO, YOU WILL SEE ALL THE THINGS!"

      @@jamiraquai1 no he isn't.
      George Miller said this, when asked why he chose his wife to edit his film, since she had never cut an action movie before.
      He said that ''if it were to be edited by the usual kind of guys, it would've looked like every other action movie we see.”
      So yes It's not the shooting that's good, it's the editing from Margaret Sixel and it won best movie editing award.

    • @callofduty611
      @callofduty611 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@greyscalesx Just referring to your last sentence; it does matter if the shooting and direction are good though (especially of note in Fury Road with so many shots that weren't able to be done again), otherwise there won't be much for the editor to work with to actually create a good edit of the footage. Films are such a huge collaborative effort from people.
      To sum it up I guess I just want to point out films are an incredible effort from so many hundreds of people also! And Margaret did an outstanding job as the head editor.

    Mad Max Fury Road, for me was a complete random experience that was unlike anything I heave ever felt! It was like stepping off a platform into maddening chaos mixed with the utter beauty of the desolation and apocalyptic wasteland, as a fan of dystopian films, this one soared to the top of my list! The cinematic opulence that is on film within this movie is so rich and INSANE that I felt like I was IN the movie when I was watching it. And I LOVED the aspect of limited dialogue that progressed the film more by allowing the scenery and landscape to tell the bulk of the story. This movie Breathed FIRE into my veins while I watched it! I then went on to having a marathon of all the Mad Max films. I hope you watch all of them!

    They had the right idea having Junkie XL produce the soundtrack for this. They always had a metallic and rusty feel to their music. I also saw this with my father on opening weekend in 2015, on IMAX in 3D, one of the best decisions of my life. The visuals were incredible. Shot like a comicbook and had endless momentum. No pauses, even the slow moments are tense as hell. If you have a PS4, Ash, you can get the tie-in game and it serves as a great indirect prequel to this and expands on the lore and why certain things are the way they are. It also looks and feels just as good as the movie. There's also a short comic series that tells the story of Max, Furiosa, the villains, and the concubines before Fury Road and shows why Max was having flashbacks about a little girl here. You get to see Immortan Joe before he became a warlord and other similar peculiarities. This is truly one of those films that never gets old. Easily on my top 10.

    This movie is basically a chase from point A to B and then back to A again but the inventiveness, the art direction, cinematography, direction, score, stunt choreography and acting take this chase film and ramps it to it's highest settings. What I also love is melding the promise of Valhalla and automobiles to create a religion/creed for the War Boys to faithfully follow Immortan Joe. It makes the War Boys sacrifices sad as they must have been brainwashed from birth.
    My favorite moment was during the chase back, there's a short lull in the action and music that is filled with the War Boys on those long poles dipping into frame. This is a movie where you just sit back and expecting they just can't keep the energy going and are wonderfully surprised it can and it does.

    There is a interesting theory that Max is one of the riders of the apocalypse, more precisely Death. If we look at his journey and all the things he has done throughout the movies there is something, not natural about him. The stories themselves span decades or even centuries and yet, Max is still there, still the same, never changing himself, but always bringing about change. He is able to survive everything coming his way (the only injury he gets in this entire movie is a bolt to the hand), he is an universal blood donor and completely healthy thus able to give a chance at life to everyone, he punishes the wicked and gives the innocent and righteous a chance to survive. Brings them to the promised land and salvation but never himself. Biggest clue in this film would be the scene where he is standing on top of the truck and has the "vision" of the little girl (whose face multiple times turns into a skull), she throws her arm up at him and he reacts attempting to block it, which saves his life from that crossbow bolt to the head. And the three band leaders could also be connected, them representing the other three riders. The Bulletfarmer represents war, Immortan Joe is pestilence, and the People Eater is famine. A true Masterpiece of an action movie! Love your reaction Ash. Your energy was through the roof :)

      So detailed that they had to reshoot parts of the film for some mysterious reason and George Miller to them to court of this situation

    Judging from the thumbnail I know this will be epic. This movie is so crazy it's wonderful. Wonderful experience to see it in the theatre when it came out. This is that sort of movie, you had to see it on big screen. Cirque Du Soleil were in the stunt group. You can tell in some of the acrobatic stuff durin the car chases. Even Ronin and Bourne Identity's car chases look amateur compared to this.
    Edit: Also, merry Christmas

      Only problem is it's not really a Mad Max movie, more like a spin off starring Charlize Theron as Furiosa with a cameo of Tom Hardly as Mad Max as a set piece. 🤣

    Fact: George Miller almost made a Justice League movie about 15 years ago. Hugh Keyes Byrne, Immortan Joe, and who played the main villian Toe Cutter in the original Mad Max movie, would've played the Martian Manhunter. Megan Gale, Valkyrie, would've been Wonder Woman.

    I watched this in imax with Greg Nicotero and Andrew Lincoln and Seth Gilliam from The Walking Dead. Being a fan of Greg's career and being an indie filmmaker I talk to him about our mutual friends and congratulated him on the popular show before the movie started. I ended up a couple of rows behind him and got to see his reaction to this film. Loved it.
