The first box i ever opened of this contained a foil mana crypt 😳.....😵 almost passed out and never woke up. It was originally $200 right out of the box. Now its ridiculously expensive.
Haha, same. First and ONLY box for me. I'm honestly a little disgusted by myself for still wanting to have it as a keepsake, being the casual I am.

I remember the last time I was kicked in the balls twice.
It was 2008. I was having the summer of my life in Arizona. Friends at the call center I was working at through a huge birthday party for me. Bon fire, women, friend, and drinks under a clear summer night.
I woke up the next morning with no pants and my flip phone overloaded with phone calls and text messages from my girlfriend. Ya see, I didn't invite her and had posted pics on Myspace with two female co-workers in their undergarments, myself shirtless in bed with my arms around them, eyes hardly open, throwing deuces in the air.
Her and I broke up that day and my sack has never been the same. Although, I'm happy to announce I was able to have a child since. Healthy beautiful baby boy who just turned two months old. Hoooray!

I opened 1 box of kal and I got a master work card. Cloudstone Curio. Dont even know if it has any value or not.
2016 WotC: every set will have masterpieces going forward. One masterpiece in every 3-4 booster boxes.

First box was a home run, but still not worth it because of no invention card. What a shame actually.

Wait 1000 Dollar for Kaladesch? That Set is not that old, what do you expect to find? You have an 2 to 36 chance to get one lottery cards (at least thats what i read somewhere) which is worth in averange 100 Bucks. 1000 is way too expensive.
Averange price for a box is 160 Euro, so around 200 Dollar i guess?
Now after watching... Great box Congratulations, you just lost around 500 Dollar, but it clearly was above averange.
Kaladesh remains to this day the worst box I have ever opened. (And I've been opening 2 boxes per set for a couple of years now).
Only opened 1 (!) Mythic. No foil rares and even some of the uncommons were missing.
Come on now. If Rudy pulled a lottery card, he would have blown his load upfront and made it the thumbnail for the video.
It absolutely is the best without a invention. 2 Chandra’s at 20$ each the foil lands at 25-30$ each the regular lands at 5-10$ each. The blue gearhulk at 10$ the other walkers at 4-8$ each. That was literally insane. I invention would have put it over the top to perhaps the best box ever

First box, got the top six most expensive cards in the set (non lottery invention) and a foil worth 20 bucks. Between those inspiring vantagr and nissa and the demon about 104 bucks. Without counting any of the other stuff thats not that bad. Except when you consider the price of the boxes for that chance at the lottery cards.
I still have yet to find an Hindu person to ask if they think its racist to have an indian themd mtg set thtat revolves around technology. We already know a lot of people were appalled by the cannibalism that wasin Mirage back in the day, but now the question of kaladesh tech must be answered!!! The people must know!

I started playing MTG when Kaladesh came out and this brings back so many memories. I kinda wanna go to FNM again. Also I'm salty that I sold my mana crypt back then for only 110.

Hey Rudy I just bought my first booster box ever Nkt really for investing but for some fun later down the road. I bought a box of unstable I didnt get a chance to play it when it first came out but I figured it would be good fun if I can pull a draft together maybe next xmas with it :)

A week or 2 before pioneer was announced, the prices kaladesh, aether revolt and eldritch moon booster.boxes suddenly went up here in our country. I was one of the few who was still opening some boxes of these products. Must have gotten the inside news on the new format. The increase was overwhelming so i already stop buying them 😭😭😭

I pulled a Mana Crypt from the pack that came with a Kaladesh starter deck back in 2017.
yea i got crypt from a starter kit and sold if back then for 110 cause all my friends said it won't hold it's value. Hindsight is always 20/20
I also pulled a crypt, but from a regular box. Sold it for 230 bucks. In hindsight though I wished I kept it. It's the most beautiful magic card in my opinion.

I got lucky with all 3 boxes I got from this set. Bought em for $80 a piece from different sellers and got 3 mid grade masterpieces.

Another thing that sucks about the final blocks, was that by the time Ixalan came out, it had no masterpiece cards, and instead of God cards like in theros or Amonkhet, they just had stupid dinosaurs...and the lore and look of the cards was so dumb...*smfh *

God I loved this set; this marked my return to Magic the Gathering since I left during Urza's Destiny (having started at 4th Edition)! I used to buy out B Dalton Books every time they got stock.
Returning to MTG was a lot of fun, with new mechanics, and it ensured that I would be a Magic player for many years to go! The Masterpieces look amazing and when you open one; got dang!

I didn't open many boxes of Kaladesh but they were the strangest and most exciting. One box I got only 1 mythic but I had 2 foil spirebluf canals.
Marionette Master is my all time favorite card. Fabricate, so give it +3/+3 so it becomes a 4/4 and then sac your treasure tokens. It deals 4 damage per token sacked. It was a "same turn", kill if you could get Marionette master to resolve and had the artifacts to sac
You can tell the video wasn't going to have a masterpiece because if it did Rudy would have put it in the thumbnail.
First box was fire especially with all the fast lands having gone up in price. Second box was almost just as good. Lotta value from all those fast lands.
I'm still crackn m20 one thing I hate is getting to my rare and it's a damn land short of lotus Field I don't want to see my rare be a damn land ughhhh wish they would make them uncommon or something so my rare slot isn't taken up by that B's why do they do this Rudy why??????
I always loved Kaladesh. People were dumb as hell for doubting this set when it first came out. Lots of good stuff throughout with my favorite lottery cards. Wish I had held on to some sealed product. Unfortunately cracked all mine.

I have a pretty hard time picking a favorite out of Kaladesh, Amohnket, Ixalan, and Dominaria. They were all in the mix together, and led to a very diverse number of decks that could be played.
Rudy I am interesting in buying some cards, something specific and most likely low in value. It’s a weird card I just personally enjoy and want to collect them. Is there a email or someway of contacting you directly?

as a european I had the opposite experience. When I first bought some iconic masters packs I was surprised at how "unpolished" they felt. Different production I guess
Iconic masters were printed in america as far as i know, box 2 in this video was european, hence the polished feel
I bought a booster box when kaladesh came out and I opened it with my friends at school. It was pretty mediocre but I love this old artwork.
