I love the smell on a car deck... fuel mixed with metal and seawater... it's a strange... awesome smell

Hallo, we were talking 'bout good times, regular crossing to Blighty for holiday in the 80's and 90's.
Sally Line, P&O, Stena and ofcourse Olau which forever will remain our favourite Line. Excellent material and ditto service. Thanks for this lovely vid!!

I am very surprised that this route finished since it was a popular ferry service for not only Dutch and German motorists but with Swedish and Danish motorists visiting London and Southern England as an alternative to the Belgian ferry routes into bustling Dover. It was quite a good choice for coaches heading for weekend breaks to Amsterdam and likewise for Dutch coach parties to London.

Great footage! Are you the owner of this video? Is it possible for me to use and upload this footage on my youtube page? As a seafaring and history enthusiast (majored in history), I share footage on my channel from all kind of activities on our ocean as my TH-cam hobby. Cargo ships in the 1960s till now, oil rigs, fishing vessels, inland barge ships, navy, etc. Of course full credit and a link to your TH-cam page will be given when I upload. I’d like to talk this through via e-mail, is that possible for you? That way i can download the video footage in high quality when you send it to me or through a shared google drive link for example.. My email is on my youtube page. I'm looking forward to your reply. Kind regards. Thanks!
