A wonderful performance by Barry. Just incredible. We saw Barry in concert recently and were impressed with his tribute to the BIG O. His phrasing and vocal timbre was just magnificent, giving you goose bumps. Barry had the presence of Roy Orbison and sang all of his classics. Brilliant night, Like Gerry Grant RIP, both Gerry and Barry are truly wonderful tribute performers of the late Roy Orbison. 🙏👏👏👏 Steve Tempo.
First, this is one of the greatest songs ever recorded. 2nd, this impression of Roy Orbison is the best I have scene. Excellent work Mr. Steele. If this song does not move you and give you chills in some way...you are not human.

I don't like critics on people like this person.... who do so his best.... this is GREAT AND VERY NATURAL..... so that same smooth voice.... without forcing.... no head voice.... just pure.... I don't get the CRITICS of some people....

Guys ...this is a good 'tribute' but that's it. He sings SIMILAR to roy, but uses MUCH more false idles in his voice and cannot readily hit the notes Roy did with ease. You can tell by the fact that this song is sped up from the original idle tempo to allow the singer to hit the notes then let off rather than sustain them. I am by no means criticizing-this was very good indeed and no one will ever do what Roy did. My step dad worked with Roy in the 1960's and so I have the first hand account which admittedly makes me a little skewed. Nonetheless, good show guys--keep up the good work. If I had any criticizm on this particular song it would be that you cannot without ''feeling'' the song and the heavniness of the loss and burden that comes with it, properly sing and perform it. Slow this song down 15% in tempo, concentrate on the low tenor aspects of the song and elongating and enunciating the sounds out more and I believe you will easily replicate 99% of Roy's song. The rest has to come from the heart. Roy experienced several deep, tragic losses in his life, his wife (In Dreams) his Children, Lost Love, his sight, one has to be able to connect through their experience of loss the greiving mentioned in Roy's songs to fully understand and appreciate them. It's Over is a wonderful song, and you guys did it justice, but consider these very few (and very minor) constructive criticisms as you go forward-I'm very impressed, and if my step dad were still alive today-he would love to see this. He remembers Roy from the 50s-60's era when he wore suits and ties all the time--this dress is from late 60s-early 80's Roy- just some thoughts. Great job!
@@peteh7958 You are correct. Grant practiced every day in front of a mirror and just had it. While I don't know much about Grant besides what I just wrote, I have been trying to do more research. But his voice is dead on.

His talking voice is completely identical. Singing voice is different than Roy but still nice.
Good....but, I don't like the way he never goes straight into the note but goes lower and rises up to it.
