The only gripe I have with this reel is the weight, but that goes with the size of the reel th-cam.com/users/postUgkxM68VkfsQhHaabDce1IwOCXuvumcpbZ_k . I brought this salmon fishing up in Oswego, NY. I coupled it with a Cabela's Whuppin Stick. I had no problem pulling in a 14lb salmon. I will probably use this for surf fishing this summer and downgrade to a 3500 series Battle II next salmon season to save my wrists. All of the operations are butter smooth and the bail is nice and thick and has a solid flip to it. Everything about this reel is sturdy and strong. The drag system held up to the salmon and was also super smooth. I did use a scale to set the drag properly before going out to the river and this worked out tremendously. A bunch of other guys on the river would hook up and snap almost immediately. Just because you have a good drag system doesn't do anything if you don't set it correctly.

Love when you talk about your grandfather!!! I lost my brother in 07! We fished, hunted, hiked, cave dived, we did everything thing together! And even 12 years later I miss him everyday! Never stop talking about your grandpa... That’s how he stays with you and us... Just like my brother! I love live bait vids! When I lived in Maryland, I use to use fresh water eels to fish for stripers! If you haven’t done that maybe that would be a good idea for a vid!!! RIP and watch over us! Zebco's 33's has always been my go to rod for fishing for bluegill, crappie, and bass. I used the same rod and reel from elementary school until my early 20's.

Great family history and a great little pond!!! I use nothing but a bobber and real nightcrawlers for last 3 years and I have had a lot of success!! My biggest catch was a 5 pound largemouth bass!!! Keep on making awesome videos!

Nothing like going back to humble beginnings I never had a push button rod but I grew up on those Mitchell 300’s that made the rasping noise when you reeled them in and the 5 ft ultralight pole. Now I’m a Bass Walleye and Crappie fisherman but this brought back memories with my dad and I

I was messing around the yard today. Had a 5 gallon bucket set up about 50 feet away. Trying to cast the frog into it. It was more difficult than I thought it would be. The squad should set up a few 5 gallons, 1 gallons, etc. See who has the best precision cast.
I use worms in this little pond near my house and every cast I catch a bluegill and sometimes bass.
