Thanks for covering The Villages again! I haven't been to the Wildwood Antique Mall (outside The Villages) but need to add it to my list. Come back soon!
I recognize your voice! You use to have a PBS show. Glad to find you. We are moving there this fall. Love the area this fall. Cannot wait. Will have to check these out. 😊
Most of the homes in the Villages clearly have been designed for a married couple, with lots of stuff, and with children and grandchildren expected to visit. There do not appear to be any homes for a single person (that just wants to play golf), with not a lot of stuff, and no children or grandchildren.
I'm single and no family/dependents or family to visit, but maybe a friend on very rare occasions. And I'd have very little stuff (moving towards being a minimalist). So for me a 2/2 house is fine -- a dedicated golf-car garage would be great. If not, a 2-car garage will do for my truck and golf-car. If you want smaller than a 2/2 house, then look into an apt there (like The Lofts @ Brownwood)...but there may be a waiting list as The Villages (TV) is almost entirely single-family/detached homes, not apartments or even condos (if any -- I forget). There are apt complexes going up NEXT to TV, but they're not part of TV as they're not on official TV property, so people living in them aren't Village residents (so don't have access to the amenities reserved for residents). But TV isn't a "gated community" as such, so the public CAN access it...but not sure about the golf courses, be they the Executive (public) courses or the Championship courses. -- BR

Wow, thanks for sharing another hidden gem. We drive by The Villages, guess we need to stop next time! Thanks again!
